Chapter 31: The party!

Lucy's PoV

The rest of the Grand Magic Games went smoothly. We won, of course, and are now on our way back to the guild. "Yeah! Woah! We're the best! We won! We won!" Natsu jumps around the train happily. "Sore winner much." Gray states in his usual calm demeanour. "I think it's cute." I giggle and watch Natsu. On the outside I'm happy and bubbly, but inside I couldn't be more depressed. Knowing that this will be over in not too long makes not telling them even more unbearable. "Lushee? Are you okay?" Happy asks me, clearly worried. It turns out that my depression was showing and I had a sad smile on my face. "Yes Happy. I'm fine." I comfort him and turn to look out the window. Mindlessly, looking out the window I remember all of the memories I've had with Fairy Tail. The sad and happy. The dangerous and calm. I rest my head on my hand and notice that it is damp. I touch it again and notice that I've been crying. I quickly wipe my face clean before anyone else could see.

"Lucy. Take control of your boyfriend!" Gray's voice enters my thoughts. I look back at them and see that Natsu has somehow make a complete mess of the surrounding area. Ersa had taken a later train with Jellal so that they could get some 'alone time'. Luna has been trying to stop him but nothing seems to be working. "Natsu. Please stop." I tell him, but my voice shows my depression quiet well so everybody looks at me. Luna's eyes are understanding and Gray's, Natsu's and Happy's are worried and confused. "What's up Luce?" Natsu sits beside me and hugs me. "Just a bit tired that's all!" I say in the happiest voice I can to reassure them. He pulls out and looks at me. "Do you want to rest on me?" He asks and I nod. I lay my head down to savour the memory. After a while I fall into a deep sleep.

Natsu's PoV

What's wrong Luce? Why won't you tell me what's wrong? My expression only shows more worried as she falls asleep.

Lucy's PoV

When we get back I go straight to the bar. "One strawberry milkshake please!" I smile warmly at Mira. "Coming right up Lucy!" She smiles back and runs to the back to prepare my drink. I notice Levy go down to the library after she had been talking with Natsu. "Hey Luce." Natsu and Happy come over to me. "Yes Natsu?" I get curious to why he has such a large and wide grin on his face. "How about we have a party at our place. To celebrate us winning the games." He suggests. "Yeah that a great idea Natsu!" I perk up immediately and jump up and down. Then Mira comes back with my drink. "What's this about a party?" She hands it to me. "We're going to have a party to celebrate winning the games." Natsu puts his arm around my shoulders. "Oh that's a great idea. Do you want me to spread the word around?" She asks. "Yeah. When I finish this we'll go get supplies." I start chugging my drink down. "Okay. Just don't choke okay. I don't want you dieing on me." Natsu says in a joking manner but I gasp and start choking on my milkshake. "*Cough cough*!" I exclaim while punch my chest. "Lucy!" Mira screams as Luna and Lily come flying over. Natsu slaps my back hard and my throat is cleared. "Geez Luce. What did I just tell you." Natsu sighs. "Sorry Natsu. I'll be more careful next time." I apologise and grab my bag. "Shall we get going?" I put my hand out and he grabs it. "Let's go!" He smiles his famous goofy grin and we run out of the guild. I'm gonna miss this.

Natsu's PoV

When we get back to the guild I run over to Levy. "Levy? Can you check up on something for me?" I ask her as Gajeel sneers at me. "What can I help you with Natsu?" She puts her book down. "Well, Luce has been acting weird lately and I was wondering if it was anything to do with that Nature's Blessings magic she has." I start off. "What gives you that idea Natsu?" She looks at me confused. "It's just a hunch I have. Can you have a look at that book you found in the guild's library?" I practically beg her. "Sure Natsu. Want me to check on anything else while I'm down there?" She asks and I shake my head. "Just the one book is fine. Thanks Levy." Levy skips off the library and I run over to Lucy. Hopefully this'll cheer her up!

Lucy's PoV

Natsu and I are in the market, looking for party supplies. "What food should we put out?" I ask him. "We should makes tons of cake, otherwise Ersa will kill us." He shudders. I giggle. "Okay, I'll by the ingredients and you by other food and we'll meet back at the house." He nods and we go our separate ways. This is going to be the best party I've ever planned. I'll make sure!

Natsu's PoV

As we go our own ways I come across a jewellery store. In the window there is a pink, sparkling diamond on a silver, note encrusted ring. I look at it for about 20 minutes before walking on. Someday Luce. Someday.
