Chapter 13: secrets

Natsu's PoV

D-dragon p-princess. What could that mean. Levy had just told us that only a dragon princess could use this magic. "What the hell does that mean!?" Gray asked slamming his fist I the table. I couldn't move. I was speechless. "W-why wouldn't she tell us?" Wendy started to cry. "Because she didn't want you to be scared of her. She didn't want you to see her differently because of it." Luna said getting angry. "Why would we be scared of her?" Ersa asked. "Because I know every magic in the world and I could kill you at any second." Lucy, at some point, had woken up and admitted this to us. "LUCY!" The whole guild screamed running up to her and hugging her closely. Except for me. "Y-your not afraid?" She asked tears falling down her face. "Why would we?" I mumbled, still standing where I was when levy told us about Lucy. Then more tears started to fall down her face. "I-I can't. I'll hurt you." She cried pulling away from everyone. "If you knew who my family was..." She whispered but the dragon slayers could still hear her. "We are your family Lucy-San!" Wendy shouted. More tears started running down Lucy's face. Then the guild's doors flew open and three figures stood there.

Lucy's PoV

I woke up starring at the ceiling. Has it already been 5 days? I thought to myself sitting up. "A dragon princess." I heard behind me and I froze. T-they already found out? I turned and saw the whole guild surrounding one table. "What the hell does that mean?" I heard Gray slam his fist on the table. I jumped. "W-why wouldn't she tell us?" I heard Wendy sob. "Because she didn't want you to be scared of her. She didn't want you to see her differently because of it!" I heard Luna start to get angry. I felt tears well up in my eyes. "Why would we be scared of her?" Ersa asked. I have to say something! "Because I know every magic in the world and I could kill you at any second." I said and everyone turned in my direction, my face blank. "LUCY!" They screamed and ran towards me like a stampede. They all hugged me like there was no tomorrow. I was confused. "Y-your not afraid?" I asked as more tears built up in my eyes. "Why would we?" I heard Natsu mumbled thanks to my dragon ears. "I-I can't. I'll hurt you!" I can't let my greed put my friends in danger. "If you knew who my family was..." I whispered as I stood away from everyone else. "We're your family Lucy-San!" Wendy said walking up to me. More tears rolled down my face. Wait! What is this magic I'm sensing?

Suddenly, the guild doors flew off their hinges. Three figures stood in the previously destroyed door way. "What buisness do you have with our guild?" Lizanna shouted at them. "Mom?" I said fairly loudly. Everybody looked at me in surprise. "Lucy!" The smallest figure lowered her hood and ran towards me. "Mom!" I cried, hugging her. "W-what are you doing here?" I asked confused and anxious to why she had come to the guild. "We wanted to see our daughter." She said pulling away. Wait. If she said we. Then that means... "DADDY!" I screamed and ran to the tallest figure. "I missed you, Lucy. The palace isn't the same without my daughter." He whispered pulling me into a tight hug. "I missed you too dad." I mumbled under my breath so the not even the dragon slayers could hear. Then I turned to the last figure. Should I say his name or nii-san. I thought, then I heard a voice in my head. "Hey sis. How yah doin'." It was Zeref. "Hey Zeref! Should I say your name aloud or nii-san?" I thought he might know what to do. "Probably nii-san. You don't want to scare your guild mates, now do you?" I then leaped into his arms, trying to keep his identity a secret. "Nii San! I missed you!" I said aloud. "You too lulu." He put me back on my feet. Then master came out of his office. "Would you four like to come into my office to talk." He asked in a polite tone. That defiantly doesn't soot gramps. My mother, father, brother, Luna and I all then walked up to master's office leaving the guild behind.

The second we all got in the master's office I put a soundproof spell on the walls, Windows and doors knowing that the whole guild would be waiting outside. "Thank you Master Macarov for looking after our daughter." My father shook master's hand ruffly. "It has always been a pleasure your highness." Master replied. "Oh no please, no formalities with us. If Luciana thinks of you and your guild as family, so do we!" My mother butt in on the formal encounter. "Right. So is there a specific reason for your visit? Layla, Agnologia, Zeref." At the mention of his name, Zeref lowered his hood. "We have something to discuss. With Natsu Dragneel." Zeref answered. "W-what about? Has he done a-anything?" Master said sweatin a lot. "No, it's to do with the royal family." My mother said in a serious tone. "Lucy, please go and get your friend then stay down there. Okay?" My father said. Strange. "Kay!" I lifted the enchantment and opened the door to find the main people in fairytail. "Luuuuuuccy. How you doing?" Gray asked like nothing was happening. "What are you guys doing down there?" I asked. "C-cleaning the floor." Ersa said, trying to hide the fact that they were trying to eves drop. "Where are your cleaning supplies?" I said putting a hand on my hip. "Um, yeah I don't have an excuse for that." They all admitted. "Natsu, they want to talk to you. Everybody get off your ass' and head down stairs." I told them off and they all groaned "fiiiine." They said in unison. Natsu headed into master's office without a word and we all went down the stairs and to the bar. "What would you all like?" Mira asked. "Oh yeah. May I ask how many days I was out for? It felt much less than usual and I was laying in the guild." I asked confused. "You were out for a couple hours after Natsu pulled you out of the vines just after the storm." Luna said causally. My eyes grew wide. "You good Lu-chan?" Levy asked. "Y-yeah. I h-have to go s-somewhere quickly." I immediately teleported to a place only I knew about.

I was surrounded by books and blanket and fire flys flew around with their butts alight. "This can't be happening? Natsu can't be the one. Can he?" I paced the floor almost pulling my hair out. Then I went to take a book out of the bookshelf. It's title read 'changing seasons'. I flipped through the pages until I found the one I was looking for. "Okay, it says that the only one who could break the seal early is the one you are destined for. But it's never been tested before because every princess before me has died while changing the season." I cried irritated. Then someone came through the door. "Lucy! You're back!" It was Galaxia. The room I was in was in the dragon realm and this was one of the rooms in the palace I used to live in. "Gala! I've missed you!" I hugged her, because she was in her human form, still holding the book in my hands. "What are you doing here?" She asked confused. "Your family's just gone to Earthland." She informed me. "Yeah, I know, I've seen them, but they're talking with master at the moment and I wanted to do some more research on Nature's blessings magic." I said showing her the book. She giggled. "So, it's true that Natsu got you out early, huh?" She giggled again. "How many know already?" I said annoyed. Gossip goes through the dragon realm like Natsu's Fire. "Um.... Everyone?" She said thinking off the top of her head. My world fell apart around me. "My life.....is over." I sank to the floor. "Oh come on, it's not THAT bad. I mean....um... Yeah, you're dead." She tried to comfort me but failed. "So, do you want some tea?" She asked making tea with her magic. "No thanks, I have to get back but thanks." I said a teleported back to the guild with the book still in my hand.
