Chapter 15: teams for the GMG's

Lucy's PoV

I woke up with a massive headache. "Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow" I groaned as I sat up. Then I looked around and found myself in an unfamiliar room. Where are I? I thought as there was a knock on the door. "Luce. You awake yet?!" A voice screamed. "Natsuuuu. Don't shouted." I whispered as the door opened. "Sorry Luce, does your head hurt." He looked at me worried, bringing an ice pack to my forehead. "Thanks." I took the ice pack from him and held it to my head. "You were certainly something last night." Natsu blushed. "W-what did I d-do?" I asked scared to know the truth. "Um, you stripped." He looked away. I sighed in relief. "Is that it? Thank Mavis. I've definitely done things much more worse than that." I turned and stared at me in shock. "What?" I questioned clueless. "You're not embarrassed by that?!" He raised his voice again. "Come on. I'm in fairytail. I've done much more embarrassing things. I mean on my first mission I dressed as a maid and applied for a job at a pervy millionaire's mansion." I reminisced. "Yeah..." Natsu paused. "Well, I guess I should get showered. Wait, where am I?" I panicked. "Luce, it's okay you're at my place." I looked closer at my surroundings and saw that it was a complete dump. Stinky clothes thrown around, books and blankets scattered and dirty bowls, plates and cutlery were covering almost every surface. "Um, Natsu?" I asked. "Yeah Luce."He replied. "Do you even HAVE a shower?!" I asked worried. "Duh! I can't have a shower otherwise. It's just through there." He pointed and I got up to walk over to the door but I had lost my footing. "Luce! Be careful." Natsu ran to me but also lost his footing so I ended up falling on top of him. "N-Natsu a-are y-you okay?" I blushed furiously. "Great! But you should be more careful." He said putting his arms around my waist. "N-Natsu! What are you doing?!" I panicked. "I like you like this Luce. It makes me feel safe." He said nuzzling his face in my neck. Before I could say anything the front door opened and revealed Ersa, Gray, Happy, Luna, Wendy, Cana, Mira and Carla. They all stood there staring for a while before some one broke the silence. "My OTP!" Of course that was Mira and she immediately got her camera out before I began to struggle. "N-Natsu! Get off!" I fidgeted, but it didn't help. "Yo flame brain. Get off the poor girl." Gray screamed but Natsu merely said.  "You're not the boss of me." He got up but instead of going to the others he picked me up and over his shoulder and ran out the back door. "Natsu! What are you going?! Put me down!" I cried. "Natsu! GET BACK HERE NOWWWWWWW!" Ersa shouted angrily and stormed towards us. "Huh? What is it?" He asked innocent like nothing had happened and put me down. The others who had followed sweat dropped. "Why did you guys come anyway." He pouted. He's such a child.  "Master's announcing something for the Grand Magic Games." Wendy said still blushed furiously. "Alright let's go!" I shouted and ran to the guild, the hangover a distant memory.

"Hey everybody!" I pushed the doors of the guild hall wide open and the whole guild was there. "Hey Lucy!" They responded as the others had finally caught up with me panting. "W-wow......*pant* Lucy......you......sure are......*pant*fast." Gray said collapsing to the ground trying to catch his breath. "Hmmm. I think I need a drink." Luna said next to me. "Well, seeing as Mira is out of commission, I'll be the bar maid today." I ran and jumped over the counter of the guild's bar. "Hey Luce, can we get a water each please?" The group that had ran here with me slowly made their way to a table close to the entrance. "Coming right up!" I used levitation magic to lift 8 glasses and pour water into each of them. "Hey y'all go!" I put the glasses on a tray and bring it over to the 'strongest mages in fairytail'. "Hey Lucy can we have some beers over here?!" Macao shouted from the other side of the guild. "Sure thing!" I rushed back behind the bar. "Luna. Can you serve?" I asked passing the tray of beers over to her. "Sure!" She gladly took the tray. "And don't drink any of them! Okay?!" She nodded frantically carrying the tray over to Macao and Wakaba. "Refill!" One the the members wiggled their glass asking for a refill. "Here yah go!" I said cheerfully. "Can I have the breakfast special please?" Another asked politely. "Coming right up!" I said and ran to the kitchen quickly cooked some bacon and eggs in under five seconds and came back out with it perfectly cooked. "Thanks!" The member who ordered smiled as I gave him his meal. "Excuse me! Could I have a beer?" Romeo asked. "Romeo! You know you can't have alcohol! You can have some soda though!" I said and passed him a soda. "Thanks Lucy!" He smiled and went to sit with Wendy and Carla. "They would be such a good couple. Don't you think?" I said to no one in particular. "Yep!" Somehow, without me noticing, Mira had sat at one of the bar stoles. "Do you want do a little matchmaking?" She giggled evilly. "I'll leave that to the master of matchmaking." I said giving another costumer their order. "It's nice sitting on this side. I might have to get you to fill in for me more often." She giggled. "I don't mind. It's actually pretty fun!" I smiled to another member giving them their beers. "Lucy! Can I have another barrel over here?" Cana screamed. "Sure thing!" I used levitation magic and passed her another barrel of beer. "Thanks." She said pouring beer into her mouth.

"ALRIGHT BRATS! THE GMG's ARE COMING UP SOON AND I HAVE DECIDED THE TEAM FOR THIS YEAR's TOURNAMENT!" Master shouted across the guild getting everyone's attention. "WE'LL BE HAVING ONE TEAM THIS YEAR!" Some of the members groaned knowing that was a less of a chance for them getting in the team. "Master!" I called from the bar. "Yes my child?!" He questioned. "Shouldn't we have a match to decide the team! It would be more fair! But the best candidates for it!" I shouted. "Great idea Lucy! Let's do that!" Team Natsu shouted and master agreed. "SO WE'LL START THE MATCHES TOMORROW! THE CANDIDATES WILL BE ERSA, GRAY, NATSU, LUCY, ELFMAN, MIRA, LAXUS, JERRAL, WENDY, GAJEEL, JUVIA AND CANA!" He listed and we all returned to our original activities.
