I had the biggest smile on my face walking into my second class, Geometry. I hated lacrosse, it was a vicious sport and people got hurt almost every game, but I was excited to watch it in two hours. Of course I was just going to watch Liam kick ass and show everyone how great he was, but I would occasionally sneak a peak at Brett. My thoughts were broken when the teacher walked in and started talking about Angles.
The class was over finally, I was amazing at Math but I hated it so much. I bumped into someone and it knocked all of my things out of my hand.
"Hey! Watch it next time freshman!" The guy said while laughing and walking away.
My frustration got to me and I started to cry angry tears. I didn't care, I picked up my stuff and got up but when I got up Brett's chest was in my face.
"Are you okay?" He asked with a face full of concern. You nodded and began walking away as he grabbed your arm. "Your still coming next hour right?" You nodded again, this time he smiled and let you go.
The next class was long, it seemed longer than the rest of the classes. Maybe that was because I stared at the clock the entire time. I ran out of the classroom to Liam locker.
"You ready to go watch me?" He asked.
"Hell yeah! Let's watch you stomp some butt!" I said and he laughed at you. I guys walked in silence until you reached the field. I started walking up the bleachers when I noticed Liam hadn't moved from the side of the bleachers. " Hey Liam, are you going to the field?"
" What if I don't make it? This is my only plan for this year and if I don't make it then what am I going to do?" He said.
"Hey there are no if or buts on this field! You got this kid!" A noise from behind you said. I turned around and saw Brett standing there smiling. Liam looked up to him and smiled then ran on the field to get ready!
"Thank you" I said. Brett nodded and walked back to his team.
The whole thing was confusing. They started with Liam on the field, first in defense trying to get the ball from the offense player. He did great until Brett got the ball. I could tell why he was captain. He was unstoppable. Then they put Liam on offense where he shined. He was amazing scored 4goals in a row with ease. And then they put him in the net. And he let a few balls past him, but all in all it was pretty good.
"You definitely belong on this team." Brett said to Liam. You smiled for him. This was all he wanted and he got it. Liam started running towards me.
"Oh no you don't! You are all sweaty! I am happy for you though. I'm just happy from a distance" I said.
"Brett said he's going to train me to up front with him and score goals!" He said
"Good, now go shower." I said and he left. I turned around to bump into Brett's chest from a second time today.
"Hello Avery, I'm glad you could stick around" he said.
"I'm glad I could too! Thanks for letting him on the team" I said
"Oh that's no problem, that kid has got skill, I'm hoping he doesn't get better than me though" he said while laughing. "Do you by any chance want to catch a movie on Friday?"
"You mean like a date?" I asked
" Absolutely like a date" he said smiling
"I would love too." You said and walked away smiling again today because of Brett.
