Brett POV (Spice it up)

My whole world shifted in a matter of moments. I felt like I was on top of the world, but in reality I am down in the sewers. Lori is no where in this pile of bodies, but so many people that I know as family are. And there may be another pile of bodies somewhere, I don't know. I fell down to my knees, I need to find my sister, I need to keep Avery safe. They may come after her and if they take them both I would be willing to do whatever they wanted.

How was I going to keep them safe? All I am is a 16 year old kid, who was born with supernatural abilities, which is great until people try to kill you because of them. No one deserved to die like the way they were going to kill us. They were murdering us to fill their pockets. So many of the supernatural in Beacon Hills were tortured and suffering because of the hunters that now knew exactly who they were and what they were capable of.

A hand on my shoulder caused me to look up from the pile of bodies that I didn't realize I was staring at. I looked up and saw the brown eyes that made me fall in love. They were glistened with her tears, but she still looked fierce.

"Brett, we need to move, the women said she fought the hunters off before they could prove that they were dead, they will be coming back." She said to me, the remorse in her eyes. It was killing me what I was doing to her, but I was too selfish to let her go and even if I did her life would still be in danger. I grabbed her hand and began walking away.

"Brett, I think we need to stay together." The girl said.

"You can follow me, but I'm not protecting you. I have too many people to protect already." I told her.

"Trust me, I can protect myself." She said. I nodded and began jogging, Avery stayed by my side. She was so strong and yet so fragile. Why did I have to fall in love now? Why couldn't it have waited? Now she was in danger and there was nothing I could do about it.

My thoughts were disturbed when I heard a shuffle to the left of us. I stopped and looked, but I couldn't see anyone.

"Brett?" I heard my name coming from the direction, it was Lori's voice. I let go of Avery's hand and took off towards her.

"LORI, are you okay?" I said as running. When I got to her, she was wet, bloody, and crying but she was alive. I wrapped my arm around her.

"Brett, we have to go, they aren't far." She said and grabbed me and started running. We ran and ran and ran until we were about a mile away. Lori stopped.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Brett, where is Avery?" She asked me, making me realize that we left her and Brayden way back in the middle of the woods.

"Oh no." I started to run back, but Lori grabbed my arm pulling me back.

"Look out!" She yelled, an arrow barely missing my face.

"Lori, I have to go get Avery!" I yelled at her still trying to run towards her.

"If you go that way, then you will die and Avery will die and I will die. If they have her, they will probably keep her alive in order to lure you out. We have to hope she is alive and keep running." Lori said.

She was right and it was the logical thing to do, but I loved Avery, even though she didn't know it yet. I loved her. And now because of me loving her she may be dead. I yelled and grabbed Lori and continued running. It seems like all we do recently is run and run and I'm tired of it. Lori was leading the way, and she took a turn leading us to Beacon Hills High School. Great, now we were running into things that were reminding me of Avery.

The assassins knew where we would be, for some odd reason we always ended up back at Beacon Hills High School. They were everywhere, in front of us and behind us and everywhere in between.

"We can try to lose them in the buses." Lori said and took a hard left. I had no plan on what to do next so I followed her. The buses were a good idea and a bad idea, they blocked us from getting hit on the sides but it was a straight opportunity to get hit from the back. Lori and I ran and kept running, arrows flying on the side of our heads, until I got hit in the shoulder. I slammed into the bus near to me and Lori stopped.

"Lori, GO!" I yelled at her and she took off. I pulled the arrow out of my back and attacked the hunter that was coming after me. When he fell and was unconscious I ran towards Lori who was running towards Beacon Hills game field.

"Lori!" I yelled at her, trying to get her to stop. She continued running and turned onto the open field. I sprinted towards the field and yelled her name again. This time she turned around to look at me, but she didn't come towards me. I ran out to the field, as I was running I heard the movements from behind me. They wanted us to go out onto this field and we did. We were going to die here.

Avery POV

Brett left me, he literally left me in the middle of the woods that were filled with people that wanted to kill him. He left me.

Brayden and I sat there and waited for him to come back, but after ten minutes he never did. So we decided to walk into the direction of where he was ran to. We walked straight into the assassins. They grabbed us and sent a team to go after Brett and Lori. I fought as hard as I could to get away from them, but they were trained to hunt and kill werewolves, a little human girl wasn't going to do much against them. They bound my hands and threw me in a SUV with Brayden.

"You know, you may not be supernatural, but you're just as hard to find." The guy said to Brayden. All she did was nod her head back at him.

"And you," he pointed at me, "are one of the most guarded humans I have ever seen. You always had 2 or more werewolves around you, it was going to be hard to kidnap you, but then your little boyfriend left you in the woods all alone, and he knew you were in danger, but he didn't care." He told me.

I wouldn't look at him, Brett did care about what happened to me, but he was worried about his sister. His family was more important than me and I understood that. I looked at the man who kidnapped me.

"How long are you going to keep me?" I asked him.

"Until one of your werewolves come looking for you or until you die. We're going to torture you in order to get them to come for you, so whichever happens first." He said while laughing.

"Why would you kill me? I'm not on your deadpool, you get no profit from it." I told him

"Yes, that is very true, but the two werewolves coming for you are worth 5 million dollars together, and I will kill you for 5 million dollars. So, in a way, you are on the deadpool." he said
