Chapter 12. Healing

Omg more chapters. This is going extremely well. I've found the perfect balance for writing. Thank you all so much!

You had fallen asleep at Kylo's bedside during the night, your hand curled in his and your lightsaber by your side. When you awoke you gazed at your husband. They had cleaned the blood off of him but now he had two long scars down both cheeks. He was already self conscious and you knew this wouldn't be good for him. All you could do was reassure him that he was amazing. Kylo started to stir and you sat forward. His eyes blinked a few times before focusing on you. 

"(Y/N)." he smiled fondly, he squeezed your hand. 

"Kylo, I'm so happy you're okay." You could feel yourself getting emotional again. To play it off you slapped him on the leg. "Don't you ever scare me like that again! I thought you were dead!" He groaned and gave you a weak smile. 

"I wasn't dead, but I sure wished I was." A look of confusion crossed his face as he struggled to regain a memory. "You, you saved me... how?"

You chuckled. "I'm really not sure what to tell you. I was just so angry. It all burst out of me and I did... that." He seemed to consider your words. 

"Was this the first time?" He asked, studying you. 

"No, when- when Hux told me you were dead, I was so upset that I threw a stormtrooper across the room." Kylo laughed and gave you a proud look.

"When I was 7 I flung my mother two feet away because she wouldn't give me dessert." He admitted. "So forgive me if I find this humorous." he seemed to stop as if thinking again. "You know, I never said anything, but when we first met I felt something about you. I never even thought it could be that you're force sensitive." He smirked "I just assumed it was because I found you attractive." You laughed. Your smile went to worry as you noticed Kylo shaking slightly. 

"Are you in pain?" You held his hand lightly now as not to hurt him. He shook his head with a guilty look on his face. 

"Bull, I'll get a nurse in here with more meds." He gave you an apologetic smile and reached up to touch your face. 

"I missed you so much." 

Phasma came in several hours later to speak to Kylo about you. 

"With your permission I would like to continue sparring with your wife once a week. I assume you will take over training her in the ways of the force, but I quite enjoyed fighting against her." You could have sworn you saw a smile cross her face, but in a blink it was gone. 

"That's acceptable. But the rest of the week she is mine." he winked at you. "In AND out of the training room." You giggled and Phasma rolled her eyes. 

"Well, if that's all, I'll be going." She started to leave but paused in the doorway and looked back. "I'm glad you're alive, Ren." and she was gone.

"Ill second that." You spoke up. Coming close to Kylo's bed. 

"You and Phasma seem to have developed a weird sort of friendship. It's... interesting." He picked up the control pad next to him and started looking through the ship diagnostics. 

"Phasma is not that bad. She's way too good with a saber, though, I don't think ilyl ever beat her." You sighed.

"Trust me, you will." Kylo smiled and his eyes sparkled. 

"So, when are you getting out of this joint?" You asked. The med bay was a sad place and it downright scared you. 

"Tonight. Then I can finally go home with you. He grabbed your hand and gave it a kiss. You smiled, then a look of horror crossed your face. 

THE QUARTERS

"Uh, actually I, uh, one second." You sprinted out of the med bay and ran into General Hux. "General! Hi! Uh, so my quarters, they are a bit messy. Is there a crew that could-"

"Phasma informed me last night, it has been taken care of." He scowled.

Guess Hux being nice is over, oh well.

You walked back to Kylo's room and were met with a look of confusion and happiness.

"So, do you want to tell me what's wrong with our quarters?" He asked

"Nope! And don't you read my mind either!" You stuck your tongue out at him and laughed. You sat back down in the chair next to him and gave him a goofy grin. "So, tell me about this force stuff?"
