My previous morning routine got repeated, except the choice of outfit who had turned in to black jeans with a pink collared button up. I grabbed my converses and drove to work which went well, no disturbing Harry and Naomi wasn't asking that many questions. I went home from work with a smile on my face, nothing could bring me down today.
"Home." I murmured as I untied my shoes and heard how Ariel walked from the kitchen and in to the hallway to greet me. I smiled at her, the long brown hair moved to one side and the shining blue eyes looked so happy to see me. I walked up to her when I had gotten my shoes off my feet and gave her a hug before she directed me in to the kitchen.
"Help." Was all she said as she placed a magazine in front of me. I looked down at the pretty dressed and was amazed by everyone of them but was a bit surprised by the whole bridesmaids theme they had.
"Who's getting married?" I chuckled, looking over to Ariel who had an awkward expression placed on her pretty face. She walked over to the other side of the island in the kitchen, collecting a letter and placed it on top of the magazine.
'You've been invited to Allie & Oliver's wedding the first of August in Manchester. More information will arrive when you reply to this letter with your decision whether to participate or not but we would be surely honored if we could be blessed with your presence.'
I read the letter over and over in my head. My mom and dad are getting married, in just over two weeks. I wasn't sure how to feel about this, I haven't spoken to them in two years and now this? I didn't speak to them cause we always argued and when I got the chance to live with my brother for a year I took that chance, I really didn't like it at home. My mother and father liked to pick arguments with me for some reason, they always stood by each other when I needed them. I wasn't the best daughter either, I can admit that, but I still needed them and they never really there for me.
"Are we going?" Ariel asked, taking me away from my thoughts. She knew everything about how I didn't speak to my parents and why cause I was different from her when it came to speaking about my past.
I wanted to go I guess, to see my family, especially my brother and maybe to sort some things out. It was their wedding after all, my mom and dads wedding. I guess just attending it wouldn't be that horrible and if it was I could just leave.
"I guess so." I sighed with my eyes on the happy brunette in front of me. She removed the letter from the magazine and leaned on her arms for support as she flicked through pages, showing amazing dresses.
"I want this one." She said, pointing at a pretty pink dress which fell mid thigh and had a strap on one side which was a bit scrunched but looked beautiful. I nodded to confirm that Ariel's choice of dress was amazing when I began to wonder.
"Hey!" I laughed. "Who invited you?" I smirked, looking at my blushing house mate. Her laugh rang beautifully in my ears, making me crack up as well.
"I did." She winked. "No, but please take me with you! I wanna meet your parents." She begged. I calmed my laughter down slightly before adjusting my position on the stool I was sitting down on. I turned my gaze to Ariel who had her fingers crossed and looked at me.
"Alright then, but on one condition." I warned to a nodding Ariel. "I'll get to pick whatever I want from your wardrobe for an entire month." I said, making my best friend do her thinking face with the pouting lips and the frowning eyebrows.
"Alright." She finally gave in and I stood up to give her a hug. "Oh Ruby, you have to wear this one!" Ariel exclaimed in my ear, making me pull back from the hug and look down on the magazine. The dress was in a beautiful blue colour with a chest gap thanks to the straps colliding just under the chest. The loose detail just under the chest looked truly beautiful and just as Ariel's dress it fell mid thigh. I fell in love with it, thanking Ariel so much for noticing it.
