The following hour was just greeting people arriving. They all hadn't seen me in two years so the few people I actually knew were thrilled to see me. Kayla arrived too, Tony had to bring a guest like I was supposed to do too. She was dressed in a beautiful, yellow dress that was long together with amazing makeup and had curled the ends of her dark hair. I didn't know you could be that beautiful but she proved me wrong everyday I saw her.
We sat down at the front which mum and dad demanded us to sit at. My grandmother took a seat next to me, smiling when she saw me and complimented me on my dress. I guess the chest gap came unnoticed.
"Ruby, is that you?" I could hear a familiar voice question so I turned my head towards the noise and as I presumed Kendra stood there with a smile bright as the day.
"Kendra! Christ, it was ages ago." I yelled out a bit too loudly as I held her close in a hug. She had a blue dress on, longer than mine but still mid thigh. It was detailed with flowers in the lightest blue, she looked wonderful.
"Take a seat." My grandmother offered Kendra as she scooted over to the other side of my grandfather, allowing Kendra access to her former chair.
"This wasn't yesterday." smiled Kendra as she sat down on the chair next to me. "Hi Tony." She smiled as she looked over at my brother who smiled back at her. They stood up and exchanged hugs, causing me to smile. It was nice having her here, I could probably get some girl advice on Harry. Harry. Harry.
"This is Kayla." Tony introduced his friend to Kendra and they smiled at each other before talking a little but I couldn't hear what they were saying. Harry hadn't been stalking my mind for a couple of hours but thinking about him made me wish he could just stay away. Or call me. Why didn't he call me?
The ceremony started and my father stood in his oh-so-handsome suit waiting for my mother to walk down the aisle to greet him. The man making their marriage official looked a bit familiar, I had no idea how and that's when it struck me, it was Kendra's father. The music started playing and all the heads turned towards the end of the aisle, together with mine, and in walked my mother with my grandfather on her side. She looked beautiful in the white, pretty dress that my cousins held up for her since it was too long just to lie down on the floor. Behind them walked my oldest cousin, carrying the ring for them. I was a little bit surprised my mother didn't ask Tony but I guess she wanted a young kid to do it not a twenty three year old boy.
"Next we have Tony and Ruby preforming Don't you worry by Lucy Rose." My uncle spoke in to the microphone. It was my favorite song of all time, it had such beauty in..wait a minute, Tony and Ruby?
"What, Tone?" I yelled at my brother who stood up from the seat he had next to me.
"Rub." He mimicked me calling him by his nickname. "You know the song, the chords and I have got you a guitar to play on. We are singing." Tony dragged me up from my seat and walked with me over to the stage, sitting me down on a chair and placed the glowing guitar in my lap. It was the same type of guitar as I had back home so I didn't need to hesitate on how to play. I saw Kendra giving me a thums up along with Kayla. Wonderful.
