Three weeks pass and I'm able to successfully avoid Seid, of course it's not that hard considering he seems to be avoiding me too. We exchange 'good mornings' only if we manage to run into each other in the morning, avoid eye contact on campus and occasionally say 'goodnight' to each other before bed.

Despite this arrangement being awkward and lonely, it's easier this way.

Seid and I only ever seem to get on each others nerves when we converse like human beings so it's only logical and better for both of us if we cut all ties.

"Earth to Amy," Scarlet throws a notebook in my direction successfully managing to hit me on the head.

"Ow!"

"You wouldn't listen," She shrugs, clearly unapologetic.

"What is it?"

"We're arguing about what Scarlet should wear to her date with Mr. Marrs Perfect Whitman," Nat says while emerging from the small walk in closet holding a pile of clothes.

"Whoa Scar that's what? The fourth one this week?" I gape at her.

"Don't look so surprised, I'm capable of having a stable, healthy relationship,"

"Oh sure," I roll my eyes at her.

"Do you really think we're going too fast?" Her brow suddenly furrows as she looks at me helplessly, I had told her that when we met up after her encounter with her dad and Seid told me that Marrs was in love with my best friend. I didn't tell her that part of course but I warned her to be careful. Ever since then Scarlet has taken it upon herself to slow things down and go on what she likes to call 'platonic' dates.

"No Scar, I think you're both going at a perfect pace," I tell her remembering how Seid vouched for Marrs. He couldn't be wrong about his best friend could he?

She seems to be satisfied with my answer as she jumps up and dances around in the room to Justin Bieber's new song playing on the radio. Nat giggles and joins in while I watch my two best friends dancing like nothing even matters. Scarlet grabs a green scarf and randomly covers her head with it, posing as if she were at a red carpet.

Out of nowhere my thoughts drift to the Starbucks girl, I wonder who she is, what her name is. How she knew my name. Something about her was just so intriguing and everything about her was perfect. I've never before been absolutely starstruck by a girl, and so it's quite a weird experience for me. I wonder if I should tell Scarlet and Natalie about her, maybe Natalie knows her.

"How's Zayn by the way?" Scarlet flops down next to me, out of breath.

"I don't know," I groan, her question makes me forget all about Starbucks girl as I get angry, like I always do at the mention of Zayn "Scarlet is it really necessary to drag him into every single conversation we ever have?"
