"I haven't missed a single sunrise in the last eight months," I turn to Seid in awe.

"That's insane," I tell him, "I haven't seen the sunrise in more than a year,"

"That's insane," He mocks me, "It's ridiculous to miss any sunrises- ever, they were made to be witnessed,"

We're standing on the balcony, watching the sunrise over the concrete jungle before us. I woke just an hour before and found that Seid was still in my room, sitting on the floor next to my bed, scrolling on his iPhone. Upon seeing that I was awake, he left the room to go pray and I followed him out soon after. It was surprising to find him still there, I distinctly remember telling him to stay last night but I didn't think he would. I wasn't used to people staying.

Thankfully, we haven't talked at all about last night. He seems concerned and curious still but he hasn't brought anything up.

"Do you have any classes?" he asks, breaking the silence.

"It's Sunday,"

"Right," He scratches the back of his neck awkwardly and stares off into the distance, "I want to take you somewhere,"

I stare at him aghast, my heart skips a beat for some reason.

"Uh- where?"

"To meet a friend of mine,"

First thing that comes to mind is an image of perverted Chris', smirking face and I can't help but shudder in disgust.

"Um- who?"

"Someone I've known for a long time, you'll love her," he reassures me, obviously detecting the fear in my voice.

Upon hearing the her a sense of relief and weirdly enough envy fills me. I'm not jealous of the fact that Seid might have potential girlfriends or friends that are girls.

I'm not.

"So will you be ready in ten?" Seid asks, breaking me out of my reverie.

"What? Now?"

"Yeah, why not now?" He asks.

"Because, it's like 5 am," I scoff.

"She's an early riser, don't worry, in fact I'll call her right now,"

"It's Sunday, don't go around disturbing people," I don't want to go.

"She's a good friend, she won't mind."

Good friend.

"No it seems rude," I tell him.

"Amy, stop being such a control freak, I'm calling her."
