Luke kept his eyes on the small radar before him as C-3PO sped through Tatooine's dunes. "Speed up, 3PO."Accelerating, C-3PO did what he was told.
"I see something!" Luke shouted. "Stop."
Jumping out of the vehicle, Luke ran towards the rolling droid that beeped to himself, coming to a stop as Luke stepped in front of him.
"Where do you think you're going?" Luke shouted. "It's too dangerous to be out here."
The droid beeped at Luke and tried to roll past him, but Luke kicked him gently. "Artoo!"A familiar howl echoed through the distance, causing Luke to freeze.
"Sand people!" He yelled, running towards the sand speeder. He quickly pulled out the long necked rifle, and climbed up the hill for a view.As he looked through his binoculars, two Bantha's came into view.
"It's sand people alright." Luke said. "But I don't see them.. Wait a second."
Focusing on the legs of the Bantha, he watched as two legs moved on the other side.
"They're definitely down there."Luke had no time to react as a Sand person jumped in front of him, causing him to fall down. The sand person quickly tried to stab Luke with his weapon, leaving Luke to dodge.
The sand people dragged Luke's unconscious body across the sandy ground, not realizing that R2D2 was around, hiding under the cliff walls. He beeped quietly, as if he were asking Luke if he was alright.
The sand people rummaged through the speeder, tossing everything pointless to them out and on the ground.
A loud, high pitched moan filled the air, causing the sand people to stir, and run off.
R2 tried to move farther into the wall as a cloaked figure leaned down to Luke, checking to see if the boy was alive. That's when the man removed his hood, looking right at R2.
"Come out, little friend. Don't be afraid." He said to the droid, earning R2's trust.

Luke's eyes barely opened as he heard the voice of a female.
"Hey, Ben! He's waking up." The girl said, hovering over Luke.
As he opened his eyes, he swallowed as he came face-to-face with her.Luke couldn't help himself as he stared at the beautiful girl. Her blue eyes met his, and her blonde hair was pulled back into a bun.
"Luke?" Ben asked, now in the room.
Luke moved his head and noticed Ben. "Ben? Boy am I glad to see you!"
"What brings you out here, Luke?"
Luke looked over at R2D2. "This little droid." He answered as he placed his hand on the metal interior. "He claims to be the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi.. Is he a relative of yours?"Ben sat down on a small seat as the girl stood with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Obi-Wan Kenobi." He began. "Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time.. A long time."
"I think my Uncle knows him.. He said he was dead, along with my father before I was born."
Ben shook his head. "Oh, he's not dead.. Not yet."
Luke's face changed. "You know him?"
"Well of course I know him." He said, pressing a hand to his chest. "He's me."Luke's eyes widened.
"I haven't gone by the name of Obi-Wan since.. Oh, well before you were born."
The girl looked at Ben. "You owned this droid?" She asked as she examined R2.
"Oh, he isn't mine.. But he used to belong to an apprentice of mine." He explained.
"Speaking of that."Ben stood from his seat, and walked towards an old box. He opened it slowly, and lifted a silver hilt that caught Luke's eye.
"This was your father's lightsaber. This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. The Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace, and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times... Before the Empire."
Luke immediately shot up from the floor. "How did my father die?"
The girl that was standing took a seat as if she were waiting for Ben to tell the tragic story.
"A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father. Vader was seduced by the Dark side of the Force."
Luke looked down sadly. "I wish I'd known my father."
Ben smiled. "He was the best Star Pilot in the Galaxy, and a Cunning Warrior... And he was a good friend."
Ben forced himself not to grow upset and quickly looked away at Luke. "What does R2 bring?"
Luke scratched his head as he stood to his aching feet. "Well, I discovered a hologram that was addressed to you."
Ben stroked his soft layered beard.
"Show me the hologram."
