Mara sat inside of the newly built palace that was beside Yavin 4's Rebel base, sitting before a mirror.
She stared at her reflection with a nervous sigh, her skin flushed from constant nerves.
As the door slid open, Leia stood, dressed in a flesh pink dress that allowed her shiny brown locks to flow down her spine.
Leia smiled, walking towards the woman.
"Everything is ready," she said. "Are you?"
Mara sighed. "No, not really."
Leia smiled in amusement, her fingers buttoning the last few buttons of her best friends' dress.
"You're beautiful." Leia told her.
Mara stood to her feet, running her trembling hands over the material.
"Were you this nervous when you and Han tied the knot?" She asked, watching her chuckle.
"No," she said. "Not at all, look at him."
Mara laughed.
Leia finished small touches of Mara's hair, before grabbing her hand.
"Your man is waiting." She told her.
Inside of the palace, the Rebels all stood as they awaited the ceremony of Luke and Mara.
Han stood beside Luke - who was dressed in his usual black attire. Han portrayed as his best man, the other way around with Han and Leia's ceremony.
The crowd turned as Mara appeared at the end of the isle way, clenching her jaw at the sudden stage-fright.
When Luke saw her from afar, he smiled.
Mara began walking as entertainers played music. She kept her eyes on the floor, hoping she wouldn't trip over her own feet.
Mara looked at Han, who sent her a wink as Leia locked her arm with his.
As Mara made it to the front, she released a silent sigh as Luke took her hands in his. As he noticed her shaking hands, he squeezed them tightly.
"We've gathered here in ceremony to portray the marriage of Luke Skywalker and Mara Alitta. Will you both take each others hands, and Mara, repeat after Luke."
Luke stared into her eyes, and Leia smiled.
"May the Force be with us," Luke began. "As we travel through the galaxy of life. May we vow to fight the evil and to stand for light and justice."
"I do," Mara whispered.
Luke smiled.
May the Force be with us, as we travel through the galaxy of life. May we vow to fight the evil and stand for light and justice."
"I do," Luke said.
"The rings,"
Rebels around them laughed faintly as Artoo and Threepio came to them, where the small droid extended his metallic arm out.
Luke grabbed the rings, placing one in Mara's hand.
As they placed their rings on their fingers, Leia smiled widely as Chewbacca roared.
"I pronounce you, Luke and Mara, as husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Luke and Mara laughed as Chewbacca roared again, and Luke grabbed her face, pressing his lips to hers.
As the crowd cheered, Luke wrapped his arm around her waist as she pulled away with a flushed face. He kissed her forehead, Han and Leia hugging them both.
"Congrats, kid." Han told Luke. "I'm expecting some more Skywalkers soon from you two."
Mara's jaw fell open, and Luke laughed.
"Which reminds me," Leia said. Han moved closer to his wife, and she smiled.
"We're expecting our own."
Mara's eyes widened as Leia pressed her hand to her stomach, watching as Luke hugged his twin.
"Congratulations." Mara smiled, hugging Leia.
"Hopefully he or she will have a playmate soon?"
"All right, scoundrel." Mara said to Han, causing them to laugh.
Luke smiled, pressing his lips to Mara's again. Rebels cheered louder, showing their respects to the Jedi and his wife.
They took each others hands, taking in the sweet moment before celebrating their marriage, and their future together; forever.
