Beaches, Bitches & Almost Kisses

"Hey, gorgeous. Can I get you something to drink?" A blonde boy sits down beside me on the sand. I cringe slightly from the smell of alcohol radiating off of him, discreetly inching away.
"Uh, no. Thank you." I say monotonously.
Where the heck is Matt? He's supposed to be my companion for the day, since Meg and Jay are too busy with each other.
I look around the swarm of teens dancing to the music blasting from the portable speakers someone brought, a little drowsy from the long day.
I feel a string of pain in my chest when my eyes land on Matt, sat on a beach towel with a redhead straddling him. His hands are roaming her fiercely, and I look away.
The blonde boy is no where to be seen, and I let out a sigh of relief. I take out the bottle of Gatorade from my bad, thankful for the non-alcoholic drink quenching my sudden thirst.
How these people got alcohol into a public beach is beyond me. It's almost five now, and the sky is a beautifully painted canvas, illuminated with blues, purples and yellows. The sun is beginning to sink in the horizon, and the waves are slightly steadier now.
"Boo." Hot breath tickles my ear, and I gasp at the whisper sending chills down my spine. Matt grins goofily at me, and I roll my eyes.
"Why so glum, chum?" He crosses his legs, playing with the sand absentmindedly. I shrug.
"I'm just bored."
"I'll say." He snorts. "Do you want a drink?"
I shake my head. "I think I'll pass. I'll ask Jason if I can use his car to go back home."
He grimaces. "Giving up so easy? Seriously, Princess? You should really let go, for just one day even." He stands up, offering me a hand once more. I'm reminded of earlier today, and the almost kiss.
Darn that nonexistent kiss.
As he pulls me up, I dust my butt off, and tuck a few stray strands behind my ears. My heart sinks when Allison approaches us.
She is absolutely stunning. Her blonde hair is wavy and shiny, let free and falling in tendrils reaching her mid back. She's wearing a string bikini, and it showcases her flat stomach and endless, tan legs, all toned from hard practice of cheerleading.
Her beauty is what makes her so intimidating.
"Hey, Matt." She coos, and even goes as far as running her slender fingers through his hair. Matt seems ticked by the gesture, and I can tell it's because he's a big hair person.
His hair is his fortune, he claims.
"How's it going, Alli?" He smirks, and a beam tugs up her glossed lips.
"Oh, good. I have a feeling you can make it better, though." She shamelessly flirts, even though she can clearly see me fidgeting uncomfortable beside him, unable to think of what to do.
"Maybe some other time." He brushes her offer off without interest, and I bite my lips in order to hold the laugh that's threatening to spill.
"What?!" Allison, clearly not have expected that answer, screeches.
"Why are you so surprised? Can't you see I was taking her to dance?" He calmly speaks, running a hand through his lush brown hair. I blush, but instantly wish for the ground to swallow me up whole when her glare lands on me.
