A Little Rebellion

"I would rather feed myself to sharks." I deadpan, looking at the death-machine called a bike.

"Come on, Princess. There's nothing you can really do, now is there?" Matt urges.

"Yeah, I can ditch. Bye bye!" I enthuse, and just as I'm about to run away, Matt grabs me.

"This is what you get for walking like you have only one leg. Get on the damn bike, Princess."

I mentally shoot Jason with a bazooka for leaving with Megan without me. Now I have to ride with Matt on his fancy little bike, which will probably cause me to die.

"I thought you had a car." I say, remembering him driving his fancy sports car whenever he comes over.

He pinches the bridge of his nose, letting out a huge breath of distress. He looks at me, and I flinch for a second at the cold stare in his eyes.

"Listen, Princess, I'm sorry, but unless you want to walk fifteen miles, you have to get on the bike. I have a helmet for you right here," he pats the helmet on his right, "and Jason really wants you to tag along. Your pretty little friend won't like it too much if you skip, either, so please, I'm begging you, get on the damn bike."

I furrow my eyebrows and half scowl, half pout at him. His features soften ever so slightly, and he smirks. "Now is not the time to look adorable, baby girl. Come on." He pats the seat, and I flush at his comment.

Before swinging his legs around the bike, he secures in the heavy helmet on my head, and I notice he doesn't have a helmet for himself.

"The wind will get in the way of your eyes, Matt!" I shriek, as I get on.

He turns around, shakes his head and puts goggles on. I snort at the way it makes him look, and burst out laughing when he makes a geeky face.

"I've come prepared, Princess. I have come prepared."

"I AM DYING TONIGHT!" I scream at the top of my lungs as Matt picks up speed, and I tighten my grip around his waist.

Hearing him chuckle slightly, I try thinking of rainbows and powerpuff girls to get my mind off of this deathly situation.

"We're almost here, Princess!" He yells and I burry my face in his back.

Soon, he comes to a halt near a familiar coffee shop. I still don't loosen my grip, for fear of the death machine starting again and me dying.

"Come on, Princess." He places his hands on mine, and I shiver at the electricity it courses inside me. I instantly let go.

Noticing my shivers, he places his hands on my shoulders, steadying me, before taking my helmet off for me. A smirk tugs at his lips as he mutters something to me.

His usual messy hair is even more disheveled now that the wind has had a go on it. The street lights cause his leather jacket to glisten, and he looks around for any signs of people.

"Er, did you bring your phone by any chance?" He quizzes, and I nod, getting off the bike. My legs feel like jelly and begin to quiver, so I grip on to the seat to gain balance and slide my phone out of my jean pocket and hand it to him.

He raises an eyebrow, but unlocks the phone anyways and starts dialing a number.

"You morons went to get frozen yogurt?" He purses his lips, as he speaks through the phone. "Jason, you absolute shitface."
