Chapter 19

~Chapter 19~

"I-I wait a minute!" Albus shrieked jumping back in surprise. Ivy had kissed him. They were outside in the dark in the rain and she kissed him.

His brother's girlfriend!

"Oh...did you...you really meant it? When you said you were giving up..." Ivy asks shrinking back in embarrassment.

"Wha-no screw that! I was lying; I'm a liar, It was all complete rubbish." Albus waves away the matter with his hand. Of course he really did mean what he said. If Ivy did not want him he was prepared to deal with it.

However, that did not seem to be the case anymore.

"H-how? Why? WHEN!?"

"Albus slow down...and can we please get out of the rain? I'm freezing." Ivy says, her teeth chattering and it is only then Albus realizes he's shivering too. He gives a curt nod and takes her hand dragging her under a roof sill protruding out just enough to shield them from the rain.

"Better?" He asked staring at her wet face. She was still shivering a little and he could see the clear water drops sliding down the sides of her face; her long hair damp and sticking to her. She still looked marvelous to him even like this.

He could only image how he looked at the moment.

"Much." She smiled staring back at him. The silence was filling but not so much uncomfortable. The rain was still going  in the background as the two just stared at one another with small smiles; reveling in how happy a moment they had just shared seconds before.

"I've broken things off with James." Ivy whispered breaking the rain filled silence.

"You're kidding? You think you would've mentioned that before I went on a complete rant; now I look like a total arse." Albus chuckles earning a giggle from his counterpart.

"I wanted to know how you really felt."

"I was just telling you what you wanted to hear."

"You really are a horrible liar Albus Potter."

"Oh and kissing other girl's boyfriends is so much better?" He laughed back before both their eyes went wide.

"Oh god..."

"Damn...Mel. I completely forgot about her."

"It's official; I'm a slag! A slut! Oh no...the female student body is going to fry me alive." Ivy groans hiding her face in her hands. Albus pulled them back down; taking hold of her cheeks to look up at him.

"You aren't a slag or a slut or anything like that."

"I kissed you while you're dating Melina."

"Yes well...I continuously tried to steal you away from your boyfriend who happened to be my brother. I say we are pretty even."

"We are really horrible." Ivy couldn't fight the grin widening on her face. Albus only smile in return because he honestly didn't care how horrible he was right now; he was happy.

"You don't have to rush it you know; breaking up with her I mean. I don't expect you to do it right away or anything-"

"I've spent the last five years at this school wishing for another chance with you Ivy; nothing is taking it away from me now. I'll break up with her the moment the ball is over." Albus explains.

"Once you turn in with your friends sneak out to the dungeons and wait for me there. I wish to at least spend a little more time with you before the night is up." Ivy nods in agreement and he gives her one last peck to the forehead before the two dash back inside the castle.
