(Albus's POV)

I looked out the window waving goodbye to my mum and dad as the train finally started moving. Once we were out of the station. I sat back down already feeling exhausted. Sitting across from me was my cousin Rose. she had already cracked open a book and started reading. my parents say shes just like her mum.

"Well I'm outta here! See you kids later." my brother, James yelled opening the car door and heading out towrads his friends. I rolled my eyes at him. My brother was so.....yea he was just that. But everyone seems to love him. Rose is really smart, and I'm just....I dunno. I'm just normal I guess.

I stared out my window for a while until I was woken from my daze by the sound of Rose's voice.

"So what house do you want to get sorted to?" she said placing her book down.

"Anywhere but Slytherin." I shivered. James told me about how horrible Slytherin house was. There's no way I'm being sorted there.

"Oh come on, Slytherin can't be that bad. I don't think anyone gives them enough credit."

"That's because you fancy that blonde boy your mum and dad pointed out ealier at the station."

She gasped and blushed at the same time.

"I do NOT fancy him. I just think he may be a decent person is all. Besides he didn't look like a second year so how would you even know what house he's in?"

"He has Slytherin written all over him Rose." I said flatly as the door to our car opened. In walked Lacey Longbottom, her long blonde hair swaying from side to side. She waved at me as she casually plopped on the seat right next to Rose. I waved back.

"Grettings Rose!"

"Hey Lacey." Rose smiled and immediately entered a conversation about whatever with Lacey. I Stared back out my window still pondering on this house sorting thing. My dad says the sorting hat takes my thoughts into consideration. So if I say Gryffindor then is that where it will place me? I hope so.

The car door slid open more loudly and in walked James and his friend Flyn Finnigan dressed in their robes. It seems that I am the only one under dressed at the moment. Oh great...

"I'm back children!!!" James yelled loudly disturbing other cars, causing them to shut their doors. I rolled my eyes at him as he and Flyn sat next to me and chatted away about the new first year girls they spotted while traveling around the train. You'd think they'd pick girls they're own age.

Unlike my cousin and my brother, I'm sort of opposite sex deprived. In other words, girls are the last thing on my mind. I plan to focus on my magic studies and hopefully Quidditch. My dad was the youngest seeker and I plan to follow his foot steps.

Ok so that was a partial lie. I really do plan on studying and all but the real reason I'm not like Rose and James in the "dating" area is because I'm not so great with girls. I mean I've fancied a couple of muggles here and there, but they either wern't interested or they only talked to me for my brother. Go figure. So I'm just the unlucky one of the bunch.

The car door slid open once more, as if this car isn't full enough, and a head poked through scanning the car.

"Ummm excuse me?"
