Chapter 3

~Chapter 3~

Once train finally arrived to it's destination the students all gathered themselves and made their way out toward the carriages. Emelie, whom was receiving a piggy back ride from Scorpius, looked down on her close friend Albus with sympathy as he walked next to them hand in hand with his girlfriend Melina. She was ranting on about something he didn't seem very interested in, unaware that his mind was elsewhere. Emelie knew what was on his mind. Ever since the encounter with Ivy he'd been lost in his own world, trying to calculate the perfect plan on winning her back and Melina hadn't noticed her boyfriend's shift in mood one bit. As much as she disliked the girl, Emelie felt for her in a way. She understood the situation very well as she had gone through it a few years back. The difference between her and the other dark haired girl was that she caught on quicker and was able to end it on a good note. Emelie could tell that this thing with Albus and Melina wasn't going to end well; especially now that Ivy was potentially back in the picture. But as one of Potter's best friends, she would stand by him, just like Scorpius, when all hell broke loose. She smile to herself at the thought of how protective she had become over the boy. She didn't even like him when they first met. But now she was willing to go through a bunch of nonsense for him. She guessed that's what having a true friend was like; and she enjoyed every minute of it.

"What you thinking so hard up there about Emelie Grace?" Scorpius whispered lowly so only she would hear him. Emelie only roll her eyes at the name and shrug. Only Scorpius called her by her first and middle name and she knew it was only to annoy her. 

"Just thinking about how far we've come since our first meeting each other." 

"Me and you?

"No me and Albus; meeting you was no privilege." She snorted back earning a fiend hurt look from the boy.

"I'll have you know you seemed pretty damn delighted to meet me back then." 

"That was before I figured out how troublesome you were."

"Yet you decided to date me instead of fleeing, that obviously means something." He let a smirk slip across his face.

"You were cute back then, what was a girl supposed to do?"

"Trying not to be offended at the fact that you say back then."

"If anyone should be taking offence to anything it should be me." She chuckled back. The air between the two was silent with a hint of tension. They hadn't really spoke about what happened between them a long time ago since it happened. The two both felt it was less awkward that way.

"I"m sorry." Scorpius said finally. Emelie rolled her eyes not wanting to start up again.

"Malfoy stop. It's not your fault okay? Shit happens we just gotta let it go yeah?" She smiled once again when he nodded, hugging her arms around his neck tighter as he adjusted her on his back.

"Alright enough sappiness let's go find a carriage!" He yelled before sprinting off, causing Emelie to scream her head off in laughter.

Things had become very awkward between everyone's favorite group of friends. Ivy walked side by side with her friends, James arm wrapped tightly around her as he stared ahead angrily at his younger bother. Albus and Melina were not to far ahead of their group and he had even glanced back a couple times just to look at his dream girl. Ivy, in return, looked away with heated cheeks every time their eyes met causing James to scowl even deeper. 

With this going on the rest of the group wern't really sure what to do at this point. They didn't want to get involved when James was upset especially since most of them were rooting for Albus to get the girl back. Rose slowly walked in between Phaethon and Lacey when she spotted a familiar flow of electric blue hair not too far behind her. As smoothly and quietly as she could, Rose fell back behind the group until she came side by side with her long term friend, Rowen Prince.
