Harry Potter: The Next Generation

Chapter 11

Alright!! I know you've been patiently waiting so I'll make this little note quick. This specific chapter along with maybe the next few will be in third person so it's easier to see whats happening to everyone at once. The only chapters that won't will be those involving Rose because she's back at the school unlike the rest of the crew. I'll be sure to let you guys know when character POV's shall return. Okay? ~Chapter 11~

The atmosphere was quite silent on the way to Hogsmeade. The wind blew sending in the chilling autumn breeze causing Ivy to pull the sleeves on her sweater dress down a little further, protecting her bare hands. Albus noticed this and with a small chuckle took hold of his girlfriend's hand in his own and placed it in the pocket at the bottom of his coat. 

"Warmer?" he smiled down at her.

"Much warmer." she beamed back. The children hadn't even made it half way to Hogsmeade and Albus and Ivy had been carrying on in this lovey state the whole way. It was obvious to Crode who walked by their side, after being ditched by his own date, that two were more in love than anyone he'd ever known.

What happened? I had thought for sure it worked; Nami had seemed interested at first didn't she? Crode thought to himself.

And he was right, though it only a small gesture and change of appearance for her, Nami had most definitely been affected by it; and Lacey noticed big time. 

"Why do you keep looking behind us Nami? Something interesting back there?" Lacey gave a wide grin to her paranoid looking friend. The two were in front of everyone, leading the way to Hogsmeade; but Nami, every few minutes or so, would give a slight look over her shoulder at the others. She honestly couldn't believe how great Crode looked for the night.

"What did you guys do it him? Like did you make him drink a potion or cast some kind of spell or something?" she said again glancing back at him for the 20th time in the night. He hadn't looked toward her since her earlier comment to him; so she doubted he noticed how much she stared at him on the trip. 

Nami hated the fact that she was actually interested in paying attention to Crode but she couldn't help it. No matter how many times she forced herself to look straight forward, her eyes would just gravitate back to him. 

The messy blonde hair, memorizing glow of his eyes, the fact that he was dressed like some muggle model; it was too much for her to handle. Nami had never experienced so much attraction for someone she loathes so badly.

 "All we did was change his clothes and mess up his hair, not a hint of magic involved." Lacey chuckled enjoying her friends torture. Lacey knew Nami would be a goner the moment she and Ivy were done dressing Crode the second time. 

Like truthfully, the boy was hot if he put his mind to it. And that's only as an eleven year old, just imagine when he gets older. She thought.

Lacey shook her head clearing her mind and stared back at Nami looking ridiculous. She couldn't go two seconds without her eyes wandering back toward him. 

 "If you wanna look at him so much just go back there and talk to him jeez." she rolled her eyes getting agitated. Everyone was with their date and her's was waiting for her at the restaurant. She was going at a good pace but everyone else was either slowly strolling in their own little love bubble, moping about in the back, or nearly breaking their neck every few seconds to glance back; which of course meant they were walking slow as a turtle. If things carried on like this they'd never make it in time for dinner. 

"What are you on about Lacey?" Nami said glancing back once more. Crode looked absolutely pitiful pouting as he dragged his feet following behind.

Cute, but pitiful. Nami smiled to herself.

"I'm talking about the fact that you haven't stop staring at your date since we left the front gate. You've been eye raping him for the last twenty minutes Nami. Either go back there or stop." 

"I-I haven't been looking at that weirdo. Why would I?"

"Maybe because he's hot." Lacey gave a deadpanned stare. Nami's eyes widened before flickering to Crode and back to Lacey.

"W-what are you-"

 "Don't even try to cover it up, I know that paranoid helpless look; you are so fancying him right now." she teased causing Nami's cheeks to turn a light pink.

"I do not! Crode is Crode no matter what he wears. There is no way in bloody hell-ahhhh" Nami screamed as she felt herself falling. She shut her eyes quickly, preparing for the contact of the ground but it never came. Nami could feel the warm arms that caught her, wrapped around her ensuring she was steadied on her feet once again. 

Nami slowly opened her eyes and nearly choked when she saw the familiar blue grey ones staring back into her light brown ones. 

"Uh...you okay?" Crode asked staring into the face of the girl he's fancied since they had started their constant quarreling with one another long ago.

"I....uh...yeah...thanks." Nami responded, her face heated and her cheeks flushing an even darker shade of pink.

"Your welcome..."he smiled back still not breaking eye contact. He knew it. Nami had never once blushed at his touch before. This was improvement. 

"Ahem!" Lacey's voice rang out breaking the intimate moment Nami and Crode seemed to be sharing. Nami's eyes instantly snapped away to find Lacey, as well as the Slyfindor lovers, staring curiously at Crode and herself still in some form of embrace from when he had caught her. She drop her arms quickly and once again sent Crode a menacing glare before taking off walking with Lacey ahead of the group.

Crode watched her back get further away from him with a long sigh. 

"She'll come around mate don't worry." Albus smiled placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Ivy nodded in agreement giving Crode a small sense of hope once again. The three continued after the others before they could get too far.

"You so fancy him." Lacey smirked at the angrily stomping Nami.

"Shove off." Nami growled back disappointed in herself. How could she let someone like Crode throw her off? 

This isn't over. she repeated over and over again in her mind spotting a familiar shop on the side coming into view.

They hand finally made it to Hogsmeade.
