~Chapter 4~

"Albus what on Earth are you thinking?" Ivy questions the moment she and the Slytherin boy find a secluded place away from her room. They were standing in a little hidden space in the hall way between the male and female dormitories. It was small and a little cramped but he didn't mind one bit. It was a private place and the lack of space allowed him to be close to Ivy without seeming like he was coming on to her.

"What do you mean?" He asked back with a confused expression.

"I mean that in there and this right here." She motioned her hands back and forth between them.

"There's a this?" Albus grin back in a joking manner.

"No! That's what I'm trying to say. Albus what in the name of Merlin are you trying to do? We're both taken; this isn't going to happen. Not this year, not ever." Albus smile faded at those words. Ivy had never been this harsh before.

"Ivy, I know you have James-"

"And you Melina." She cut in with a reminder making him grimace.

"Yes, I understand that; but that's nothing compared to how we feel for each other right? Say you love my brother-"

"I think I do love your brother Albus..." Ivy admitted quietly. Albus stare at her trying not to let those words rip him apart.

"How much?" He asked, voice sounding low and serious as he stare into those hazel eyes. Ivy could feel the intensity from the stare but for the life of her she couldn't look away.

"W-what?" she managed to squeak out.

"How much do you love my brother?" he whisper quietly placing both hands on the wall near the sides of her face. This wasn't Albus, this was more of a James or Scorpius move; but the boy couldn't deny he'd always wanted to try backing a girl into the wall and seductively whispering to her. It worked in movies and more than enough times for his best friend, why shouldn't he give it a go?

"W-what kinda question is that?" Ivy stuttered back. She couldn't think let alone speak with his face so close to hers.

Since when did he get so bold. She thought.

"A simple one. On a scale from Slytherin's and Gryffindor's relationship to Lacey's relationship with fowl language, how much do you love my brother?" Ivy had to suppress the giggle that was threatening the back of her throat. Even in a serious moment like this Albus just had to go and make jokes causing her heart flutter for him even more.

"I'd say somewhere in between Nami with shoes and Hugo pranking people." She responded back adding to the joke.

"That's quite a lot."

"It is."

Silence filled the little space as the two just stare at one another. Searching each other's eyes and taking in the details of the faces that they both seemed to miss out on the past five years.

"Your eyes are magnificent." He whispered resting his forehead down upon hers. She didn't seem to mind so he didn't move. He just continue to stare into those bright orbs of hers.

"You've gotten stubble." She whispered back with a small smile. She lift her hands to his face, tracing over the light patches of hair that started to gather along his jawline. Albus knew about the growing facial hair, it was the first thing Scorpius pointed out when they set off to find the trolley lady.

His exact words were "Damn Potter look at that jaw! Puberty hit you hard didn't it! You're becoming a man!!"

And then he continued on about teaching Albus about the "birds and bees" which the dark haired boy quickly declined.
