~Chapter 13~

"Hey there! Welcome to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop! Find a seat and enjoy yourselves, I'll be right with you a moment." Madam Puddifoot called from behind the counters. The children shot each other glances at the abnormal pick of venue for their group date. The walls were showered in pink with anything and everything frilly and cute attached. The tables were littered with other couples who had seemed to sneak out after curfew for a secret late night date. The music was soothing although just stepping into the place made Albus feel like he was in some sort of fluffy girlish nightmare. He squeezed Ivy's hand as he skimmed the brightly light room in discomfort.

"Wow it's so cute!" Nami squealed looking around frantically and starry eyed.

"Isn't it? Very romantic, it was Crode's pick actually." Lacey pipped up smirking deviously at Nami who's eyes widened to the size of saucers.

"Really? You picked this place?" she narrowed her eyes at her date, trying not to give way that she was on the verge of swooning just from the mere sight of the boy. Crode's cheeks painted a light pink as he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Uh yeah....I thought you might like it. I know you're favorite color is pink so..." he trailed off letting his eyes flicker everywhere but Nami who couldn't contain the blush flaring her cheeks either. She let her eyes hit the floor before responding with a "That's very sweet of you....I mean I guess." and a shrug before blushing even harder. Crode's eyes met Ivy and Albus who sent him a knowing grin and thumbs up which he happily returned. He was slowly getting to her and by the end of the night, Crode felt that maybe, just maybe he'd at least have another date planned with her soon.

The group made their way to a large circular pink booth near one of the fogged up windows and took their seats in accordingly.

Albus and Ivy in center.

Lacey and her date, Andros, across from one another on the edges.

And Nami and Crode in the middles of the two couples facing one another.

The children sat and waited as the silence in their area became more than awkward. No one knew exactly what to do or say in this type of situation. Eventually Lacey felt she should be the one to break the tension.

"So whaddya think those windows are fogged up for?" she threw in a sly grin wiggling her eye brows. Nami rolled her eyes while Ivy giggled with a small blush decorating her brown cheeks.

"Probably to hide the horror of these decorations no doubt." Albus snorted causing Nami to scoff.

"I happen to think they're quite cute."

"I've never seen so much pink in my life." Lacey muttered glancing around the room.

"I think it's somewhat romantic, but maybe a little excessive with the decorations." Ivy threw in.

"It's not so bad as long as you're here with someone you really like. You probably won't even notice all the decorations cause your so wrapped up in your own little world." Crode stated unconsciously before blushing instantly at his words. When he looked up everyone at the table was staring in his direction but it wasn't until his eyes landed on Nami's that his blush crept up ten times harder. She was staring at him with that helplessly adorned look she always got when she was really interested or surprised by something. Maybe things would really work out better than he thought.
