I wake up and get ready. I fix my hair in a braid again with a beanie on. I put on another Camp Half-Blood T-shirt with jeans and tennis shoes. I walk out of the cabin and I'm hit with something. It gets me wet and I look over to the side to see Leo. "I didn't mean to do that. I was hoping it was somebody else."
I smile at him and pick off the pieces of the water balloon that stuck on my shirt when it busted. He clears his throat and speaks up, "You're not mad?"
"Oh, I'm gonna hurt you Leo Valdez." I start to chase him. "Get back here, Leo!"
"Never! I will never stop, and you will never catch me." He laughs. But I get the last laugh when he bumps into Percy at Long Island Sound by accident and falls down into the water. I burst out laughing.
"Good job, FireBoy." I giggle, holding my hand out to help him up.
He takes it. "Sorry, Percy."
"It's okay."
Leo turns back towards me. Then he smiles. "Give me a hug, Sunny." I shake my head and he steps closer, opening his arms. "Come on, just one hug."
"No." I back away. Leo starts to chase me and he's faster than I thought. "Get away, Leo! I don't want to get any more wet than I am from your stupid water balloon."
"It's just a hug!" Leo says. I think we woke some people up but neither of us really care. I run around the Hephaestus cabin. I turn around. I think I lost him. Just when I turn back around Leo runs from the corner and picks me up and spins me around.
"No, Leo!" I giggle as he keeps spinning me, getting me wet.
"Serves you right. Now we're both wet." He puts me down and smiles. "Now would be a great time for that kiss." He says, his face really close to mine.
"It's time for breakfast." I whisper, smiling. He smiles as I back away. I catch up with my cabin going to breakfast. I'm still wet and I know they notice but they don't say anything until I'm half-way through breakfast.
"Why are you wet?" Will asks.
"Long story." I sigh. He laughs and nods. After breakfast I go to my cabin, still wet. Leo pops his head in the door. "Here to get me wet again?"
"You deserved that. You were the one that chased me into the water."
"You were the one that wasn't paying attention, bumped into Percy, and fell in the water. And I wouldn't have chased you if you hadn't thrown a water balloon at me."
He smiles and pulls out a water balloon.
"Leo, if you throw that at me-"
"I'm not going to throw it at you. I'm going to give it to you to have a free shot at me for this morning." He hands it to me and I laugh. I get up and walk out and he gets in front of me. "Go ahead."
"I'm not going to do this." I step closer to him.
"Really?"
"No." I throw it at him. When it busts on him, he laughs.
"That was really sneaky of you. And I thought you were innocent."
"Now we're even. Now give me a hug." I open my arms. He hugs me. I hug back.
"Now would be another great time for that kiss."
"I don't think so, FireBoy." I smile.
"But come on, don't you like me?"
"Yeah."
"See? This is like the first time someone's liked me back. Come on. Just one kiss. Or one on the cheek?"
