I wake up and I sigh peacefully, still in Leo's arms. "Leo," I whisper. "Leo... Leo? Dude, get up." I say louder. "LEO VALDEZ!" I shout.
"Huh?" He suddenly jumps up making me fall down on the floor. "Oh Gods, Sunny, I'm so sorry."
I lay there for a second, catching my breath. "Okay, I'm good!" I smile, getting up.
"You scared me, Shay."
"You scared me, Valdez. I was trying to wake you up and you just suddenly jump up." I laugh. "Dude, what time is it?" I yawn.
"Time for you to get a watch."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"It seems like it's time for me to get a new boyfriend." I turn away from him and cross my arms.
"I was just kidding around, I thought you'd think it's funny." He grabs my arm.
I burst out laughing and turn around. "Dude, I got you good."
"You aren't mad?"
"Dude, that was like one of the oldest things in the book, and it was still funny. Of course, I'm not mad." I giggle.
"You had me scared!" He says. He turns around and I start to laugh.
"No way am I falling for that."
He turns towards me and rolls his eyes. He leaves Bunker 9 and runs away from me. I shout his name, even though I didn't actually believe that he was angry. I follow him and see that Bunker 9's door closed by itself. I follow him but he runs into his cabin, so I decide to go to mine.
I go to the bathroom and get dressed in a Camp Half-Blood shirt and some black shorts with some vans and my hair in a braid and a beanie on. I go to breakfast late and see Leo talking to his cabin-mates. He looks pretty angry. Was he really angry? Did I take it too far with my stupid joke?
He glares at me for a second before going back to talking with Nyssa. I eat breakfast in silence, trying to reason if he was really angry or just messing with me. I couldn't decide. So as soon as I finished eating, I followed Leo as he was walking alone to his cabin. "Leo!" I shout.
"Go away." He says.
"Dude, wait." I catch up to him and hold his hand. "Are you really angry, Leo?"
"Yeah, you scared me to death!"
"I'm sorry."
"I don't believe you."
"Leo, dude, sweetie, FireBoy, please?" I say. "Don't be mad at me." I sigh as he starts walking again. "I love you-" I couldn't finish. I had barely gotten out 'love' when Leo spun around and kissed me passionately.
"I was waiting for you to say that. Gods, Sunny, it took you long enough."
"So, you aren't mad?"
"Nope, I just wanted you to say that you loved me."
I give him a big hug. "I love you so much, Leo Valdez. I love you more than an Aphrodite kid loves to be pretty." I kiss his cheek.
"That's possible?" I giggle at his question. I nod and start laughing again. "Well then I love you more than Percy loves Annabeth."
"That's possible?" I ask, smiling.
"Who knew, huh?" He laughs, grabbing my hand. "Hey, I haven't heard you sing in a while."
"But I just sang-"
"HEY, EVERYONE, SUNNY IS SINGING IN TEN MINUTES AT THE APHRODITE CABIN!" He shouts. Other people start shouting it to spread that word. "That gives you enough time to prepare."
