Chapter 1

Nick Leighton Lewis mostly known as "Enne" is a 16-year old junior student in a famous university on the State of America. He is a 5'6'' skinny boy noticed to have an adorable and charming smile complementing his Asian eyes since he's from an Asian-American parents. He is a brunet little man with dark chocolate eyes almost appearing black who loves to draw, read, listen to music, and calls himself an "otaku" or an anime addict.

Nick has his very childhood bestfriend named Skylar Dylan Mathews. Skylar's father is the owner of the university he is in making him very famous. He is a 58'' medium build boy with defined muscles complementing his blond hair and sapphire blue eyes. He loves playing soccer and video games and also loves to read just like Nick.

While walking to his locker, Nick was bumped by a heavy load of bag on his upper back. "Ouchhhhhh!" Nick hissed out of his breath suffering from the pain from what had bumped him. Without even looking back to the person who had done the stupid thing to him, he gave the other boy an annoying tone.

"I know it's you, Skylie. Just because this is your parents' school doesn't mean you can bump whoever you want to. Don't you know it's rude to do that especially to your bestfriend?" Nick said recovering from the pain.

Skylar's grin directly changed into disappointment upon hearing the name call. "Oh man! I already told you not to call me with that freaking name Enne." Skylar replied out from his grin.

Nick slightly smiled and turned to face Skylar. "You know that's not enough Skylie. My back really hurts from that bag you're bringing." Nick said and Skylar just gave him one of the fakest smile.

Nick returned the smile and Skylar groaned out of nowhere. "Ughhhh Enne, don't give me that smile. I know what that means."

This gave Nick his cue to smile even wider than the first one he gave. It was a toothless smile that makes everyone uncomfortable especially Skylar who can never resist Nick's smile.

"Okay man, I'm sorry okay!" Skylar pouted raising both his hands up in surrender.

"I know you would say that." Nick said and gathered his things from his locker near Skylar's upon hearing the school bell rung indicating his next class.

Nick let out a little scream that only Skylar can hear. "Wooohooo! Literature! I love literature!"

"I hate literature." Skylar let out an annoyed tone in his voice.

"Really? Then why do you keep on reading the book I gave you on elementary until now?" Nick replied.

"Well that's an exemption. You know that I like it very much." Skylar answered with honesty.

"I know right. That's why I bought that because it's your taste of literature and beside that's my first gift to you. I mean except for the gift of friendship." Nick let out the last sentence with a chuckle.

"What a cheesy line you have. Well, that's the worst book I've ever received." Skylar answered with a laugh.

"Hey, that's so mean of you! I've saved a lot for that. It took me five months to save just for that book." Nick said giving Skylar a fake sad face which only made Skylar burst out laughing.

"What a silly excuse Enne." Skylar said with teary eyes.

"Well it's really unfair that it's me who's not the rich one on us who bought you a gift." Nick replied with a serious tone stopping Skylar's laughter.
