Chapter 26

My eyes widened while my mouth hangs agape at the sight of the person in front of me. Our gazes locked with each other and a familiar erratic beating of my heart dominated my whole stance. He looked taller which I think stands from 6'2" or something. Geez, why had he even got that tall in such a small span of time? Does he take supplements or any type of surgery or something? I mean from 5'6", I guess I only got an inch taller while he does a lot way more.

Still trapped on his sapphire blue orbs, I continued to look at him and noticed that he still had same blonde hair, only shorter. He got bulkier than before but not the gross type – just the yummy type. He looked more mature and....hotter? Geez, no Nick, bad thinking!

"Baby!?" Stacey cut me from my trance as she called for Skylar. She immediately ran towards the door and lunge at Skylar for a kiss and a hug. That's when I broke the eye contact and realization hit me. Skylar is Stacey's boyfriend. But why am I feeling something wrong?

Why am I feeling.....jealous?

No! That's just so wrong, right? I mean, I am totally over him and all. I can't feel the same way as I had two years ago. I can't. I already had built a wall which is strong enough to hold back and lock all my feelings for my ex bestfriend. I can't take risk all the sacrifices. But why am I feeling like this? This just can't be happening.

"Hey baby." Skylar retorted to his girlfriend. Geez, his voice even got sexier and hotte—...No! Don't even think about it Nicky!

"Uhm, so this is Nick Leighton Lewis, but we call him Lei. Isn't he too adorable to be a guy?" Stacey stated with a tint of excitement on her tone. She giggled as Skylar extended his hands for me to shake.

"I'm Skylar Dylan Matthews." I hesitantly grabbed his hand and shook it slightly. Just as our hands connected, I felt a spark which is something like a jolt of electricity hit me. I noticed that Skylar had flinched a little which means that he felt that spark too. "But you can call me...." He added and locked his gaze with mine again. "...Skylie."

I gulped at his statement as I tried to look away from his intense gaze. "Hey...I haven't heard you use that name. But I am fine with just 'baby' though." Stacey punched his shoulder playfully while I disconnected our hands.

Stacey grabbed Skylar's face again and kissed him in front of me. I immediately moved away and entered our room. Seconds later, they followed me inside the room and Chanel greeted the both of them. Skylar looked at me again and I looked away immediately. He helped Stacey arrange her stuffs while I made myself busy on my bed.

Chanel moved her way towards my bed and plopped herself next to mine. "Isn't his boyfriend a hottie?" She asked while eyeing me with a suggestive smile. I turned nervous at her statement and tried to grab a book from my night stand but Chanel caught my wrist. "I can see you the way you look at him?" She wiggled her brows on an 'I know what you are thinking' manner.

"What the hell, Cee. What are you talking about? He is Stacey's boyfriend so stop acting like I am interested on being the third wheel or something." I stated lowly with a tone of annoyance. Well, I think she really noticed me but I can't make it clear to her that Skylar and I had a past.

"Okay, but, I also had seen him the way he looks at you, Lei." She grinned deviously and let go of my wrist. I rolled my eyes feeling a bit nervous at the thought. I grab a book and started to flip the pages as a distraction. Geez, why am I so nervous all of a sudden?

Chanel got out of my bed and moved towards the couple. I turned my gaze at them and noticed how lovely they look. They are completely a really great pair. They are both adorable and I can see that they love each other. I felt a pang hit my chest as I continued to read. I can't focus on anything but them since they are in a same room as me.
