Years later...

"Emily!" Her mom yells from her bed downstairs. Not responding, she calls again as our young protagonist moans "I'm up mother."
Throwing the covers off her average body, she shivers and walks toward her closet. Getting ready for school, she sighs and grabs a white button down top, a plaid skirt, a black sweater with a plaid tie. Pulling her brown hair back into a ponytail, she grabs her brown boots and walks downstairs. Her dad walks into the kitchen in his pajamas and yawns "hey honey, have a great day at school."
Giving Emily a kiss on the cheek, she smiles and hugs him "you're always so warm dad."
He chuckles and hugs her, "I generate enough body heat."
She rolls her eyes and grabs a bagel from the pantry "well, I gotta get going. Later dad."

She walks out with her backpack and coffee. Getting into her 1955 blue Cadillac, she pulls out and drives to Barton High.

Parking, she gets out and walks toward the school as she finishes the last of her coffee and tosses it into the nearest trash can. Locking her car, she opens the door and steps inside to face a mad-looking Lexi. "You said you were coming to the frat party last night Emily, what happened?"
She nervously looks around for an excuse "uh.. sorry, I just had to help my dad."
Lexi sighs and crosses her arms "I needed my wingman there, I was gonna confess to him last night!"
Pulling her tie loose, Emily thinks about who her friend was talking about and makes a face "Cameron?"
Nodding, Emily rubs the base of her neck and blows some brown hair out of her face, "I'm sorry girl, I really am. I hope things work out for the two of you."

  Kaden's POV

"Too shiny, I need to be able to see my reflection in the tile, not be burnt by it," he tells his servant. The servant sighs "forgive me your highness, I wasn't thinking," as the servant scrubs the tile some more. Kaden's footsteps could be heard as he walks down the hallway and turns to his left. Entering his bedroom, he stops in the doorway and bows "hello again Uncle."
His uncle turns around from facing the clear window and nods "hello nephew. How can I be of assistance?"
Kaden walks toward his chair and grabs his sword. Gliding his forefinger over it, he glances up at him "I need you to kill some people for me."
"And why would I do that?" His uncle raises an eyebrow and looks back toward the window.
Kaden chuckles and runs a hand through his brown hair, "because I'm to be king one day, you should obey me Uncle. Also I hate people that defy me."
The uncle wets his lips and sighs "who should I kill your highness?"
Kaden has a firm look on his face when he says "just a few people from the village, nothing major."

"It will be done sire, I'll have my men see to it that the task is accomplished." He nods and walks away, his sword swinging at his side. The prince smiles as he plops down in his chambers and falls asleep.
The door opens as a 7 foot 6 Jefferson looks at his master. Clicking his nails together and smiling wickedly, he asks "so; who am I killing today?"
