Still smiling wickedly, Kaden sighs and throws a pillow at him "get out!"
Jefferson walks into the room and looks at his master, "who are we killing?" He asks again.
Kaden fumes "people from the village idiot, but my guards are going to be doing the killing today; so you're off duty."
Jefferson flexes his fingers "come on Prince Kaden, just allow me to do this one thing for you," he pleads.
Sighing, the owner nods and waves his hand "go, I have to catch up on my sleep; I haven't gotten any since the last council meeting yesterday."
Running a hand over his face, Jefferson nods "it shall be done master," and leaves.

Jefferson jumps onto a moving cart stacked with hay. Hearing people try and sell apples, homemade jewelry and silks; he smiles as the guards come walking in. The cart passes by a family whispering nasty things about the king as Jefferson gets mad. His claws come out, "no one talks about my master but me."
His sharp teeth come down as he jumps from the cart and lands on the dirty street. Glancing around to see if anyone spotted him, he quickly darts into an alleyway, hiding from the royal guards.
"Do you know who the king said to kill?" A guard asks his buddy as they walk down the street.
Shaking his head, the guard gets out his sword "then I guess we'll have to kill everybody."

Jefferson's eyes widen "oh golly, that's a lot of people. But the king said.." Shrugging it off, the guard sighs "the king said only a few Damien."
The other guard nods and grabs the nearest person, a middle-aged woman; and plunges his sword into her chest. Seeing the commotion, the people scream and run this way and that.
Jefferson stealthily sneaks out of the alleyway as the family emerges to see what's going on.
"That must be the family that was talking bad," he thinks.

Running toward a house, he hides behind it and gets into attack mode "bubbles."
A person runs past him as a guard on horseback shoots an arrow and the man falls. The guard sees Jefferson and shouts "squirrel, get back to the castle, this is no place for a rodent."
Rearing his horse, it gallops past as the guard loads his crossbow again. Looking back at the family, Jefferson slowly proceeds toward the man "bubbles."
Growing louder as Jefferson reaches his target, the man tilts his head "may I help you chipmunk?"
Clicking his claws, his eye twitches "my name is Jefferson, and you messed with the wrong squirrel." Fire in his dark eyes, Jefferson raises his arms up and shouts "bubbles!"
Kicking the man between the legs, the man groans as Jefferson holds his neck. Tracing a claw down his cheek, he hisses and rips out his throat. Dropping him, Jefferson sucks the blood off his nails, "bubbles popped."

A small child of 8 watched her daddy die from the window. Tears were flowing down her cheeks as Jefferson looks at her. He hisses and says "fear me!"
The little girl screams, hugs her blanket and runs away as Jefferson laughs. Blood dripping down his chin, he retracts his claws and walks away. Headed to the stone castle, he could still hear the screams of men, women and children as the guards killed them all.

Spreading his wings, he flies to the castle, opens the big door and goes inside.
"Do you bring good news I hope?"
Kaden sits on the throne with his hand propped up under his chin. His sapphire eyes shining as he brushes back his brown hair.
Jefferson lands a few feet across from him, "I have sire, I just recently killed a man who was talking bad about you."
Kaden grows a smirk "very good my friend, I will summon you when I need you again."
Jefferson nods and turns around to walk out the door when Kaden says "is the deed done?"

A different voice confirms it as the old man looks at Jefferson "this is him?"
Kaden nods "yes, this is my most trusted assassin.. Jefferson."
Jefferson turns to the man and smiles "nice to meet you sir." His uncle laughs "nephew, you never told me he had the voice of a 2 year old."

Emily's POV

Nudging Lexi, we walk into the mall together as I yawn "so what exactly are we looking for?"
She rolls her eyes "homecoming dresses dork, don't you remember anything."

I chuckle and brush my braid back. Having Lexi as a best friend is awesome, but at times she goes insane/boy-crazy. Always draws to much attention to herself, but today she seems rather sane. Going into Dillard's, she asks the lady where the "hot" dresses are as I try not to laugh. Telling us where to go, she thanks the lady as we head to the dress department. Hands in my jean pockets, I roll my green eyes "why am I here again? I know it's homecoming, but still.."
Lexi squeals as she walks over to the most gorgeous dress and smiles "I love it."

Touching the fabric of a dress, I look up as she walks into the dressing room. Not seeing anything that spoke to me, I sigh and walk to the dressing room when I spot the most beautiful dress. It was dark blue, short in the front and long in the back. I smile and check the price, only $89. Finding the right size, I go to the dressing room with a smile. A few minutes later, I come out and see Lexi waiting with a dress in her hands. Looking at me, she gasps "you look so pretty Emily!"
Telling me to spin, I spin slowly as she nods "you're definitely getting that one, and I'm paying for it."

"No, don't do that Lex, I can pay for it on my own."
She rolls her eyes "whatever, I'm just trying to be a good friend."
Chuckling, I ask her if her dress fit and she nods "perfect fit every time."
I nod as she holds it up for me to see, a light green dress, kind of ruffled with a decorated gold belt in the middle. I smile "you'll look gorgeous in that Lexi, I just know it."
She shrugs and states "shoes next, but after we pay."
I shrug and pay as we take the escalator down a level. As always, Lexi talks about Cameron and how things are going.
"Cameron is so sweet Em, I think he knows I like him though, so that's kind of a problem."
I sigh "just pretend like everything's normal and you'll be fine, it's what I do."
She shrugs "I guess so," as we walk toward the shoe section. Seeing glittery and high heels, I felt like I walked into fashion heaven. Clapping my hands together, my eye catches a pair of black heels as I smile "have I mentioned I love you."
Running over to the heels, she chuckles "you have now," and tries on a pair of gold heels. Buying the heels, she waits for me and yawns "just wait till we tell your dad what we bought."
