Kadens POV
Waking up with a sigh, I turn on my side as a blonde beauty smiles and whispers "good morning sleepyhead."
I grin and kiss her hand "morning love, how'd you sleep?"
She cuddles next to me to share my warmth, "wonderful, what about you?"
"Eh, I've slept better. But I'm glad you enjoyed our little quest."
She giggles and traces a hand up my chest as a slight moan escapes my lips. She kisses my cheek and sits up as she stretches. Grabbing a soft, red robe; she puts it on and walks over to the window as she sees the village below. I yawn and slip on my boxers as I tear the sheets off the bed. Seeing the blood, I look at Catherine wide-eyed, "you were a virgin?"
She nods and closes her eyes, "I was meaning to tell you last night, but you just took control of me so fast."
I smirk "I'll assume that you liked that." Walking up behind her, I squeeze her sides to make her jump. It succeeds snd she laughs "stop it, that tickles."
I raise an eyebrow and grin "does it now?"
Moving my fingers up and down her sides, she bites her lip as I grab her waist and pull her towards me. She laughs and reaches up to touch my cheek as I lead my hand down her arm. Making it to her side, I nip at her ear and mumble "I have to go."
She playfully pouts "aw, do you have too."
I untangle myself from her and go to the changing room. I put on my black pants, a neat, dark blue tunic and strap a sword to my side. Stepping out, I lean down to give her a quick kiss on the forehead and walk out.I arise from my chair at the head of table as all the guards await what I have to say.
My uncle clears his throat, "his royal highness has declared that whoever speaks unkindly of him shall be executed."
Jefferson gives a wicked smile and giggles as I nod at my guards "anyone from the village, got that?"
All of them nod their heads and murmur to each other as I slam my hand down on the solid table, "enough! That is an order you fools, I command you to obey it."
A guard clears his throat "your highness, if I may interject... you are the most feared royal all over the continent. These commoners will learn to obey you one way or another."
I half smile "thank you Damien, at least someone gets me and how I rule."The brown haired guard nods and takes a sip of his brandy.
I raise my voice a little, "for the past 3 and a half years, the Cordova line has been the most powerful. Well gentlemen." I smile and grin, "things have changed since then, the Gardel rule will commence now."
A few clap and some of them stay silent, including my uncle. Jefferson asks, "I have my suspicions that we haven't seen the last of the Cordovans."
Everybody goes silent as I gulp back a scream "what did you say," as I grit my teeth. Jefferson picks at his claws and thumps them on the brown oak table, "maybe the dead king had a daughter and she could be alive still, plotting her revenge."
I huff "what my uncle did to her parents has nothing to do with what's happening now."
My uncle stands as his black jacket falls over his shoulders, "I killed Elena; but Damaris could still be out there."
My eyes shut tight as I exhale "you killed them both, that's impossible if their precious daughter is alive."
"Nephew, may I speak to you in private after this meeting?"
Nodding, Jefferson asks "every one of the Gardel people are ruthless killers, you have hated the Cordova line for centuries. It's time you eliminate them once and for all Kaden."Everyone stares at the squirrel as I roll my eyes and sit down, taking a sip of brandy "this meeting is over, and Jefferson.. stay."
I cross my arms and look at my uncle who was clearly annoyed.
Jefferson sighs "if I may your majesty.. Kaden didn't know that the dead King had a daughter."
The uncle nods, "I see," as he glares at his soon to be king. "Nephew, you know what to do when you see her, don't you?"
I nod and cross my legs, "I do uncle. Nothing makes me happier then doing what I love." My eyes twinkle a little as I unsheathe my sword and hold it up to the light.
"Nobody will get in the way of my mighty kingdom, and if they do get in the way," I touch the tip of the sword, "I'll give them something to be sorry for."
The uncle grabs my sword and flips it over in his hand, "cold and ruthless, I raised you well," he chuckles. I merely nod "we just need to do something about these villagers, they need to be taught to show some respect for their king."
My uncle hands me back the sword as I put in back in the holder, "you're not king yet nephew, that's a long way away."
Jefferson yawns and walks away to his private chambers as I yawn and walk over toward the throne. My uncle crosses his arms as I sit on the glass throne, "these commoners will never know what hit them when I'm crowned."
My uncle rolls his eyes, "get some rest nephew. You have "kingly" duties to attend to in the morning." I sigh and run my hand over my face as I think "what will I do when I'm crowned king anyway?"
