Never let Go

chapter 10

Phil's pov

I woke up laying on Dan's chest. He started speaking to me but I just ran out.

Why was I on his chest?

Sleeping on him.

I felt bad as if I had cheated on Cassidy.

So I decided I had to go see her.

I ran to her house and knocked on the door.

Her brother answered.

"Hey is Cass here?" I asked.

"Yeah she is. but why do you want to see her?" he spat at me.

"Because I'm her boyfriend." just as I finished my sentence Cassidy came out.

"Tom he doesn't know yet lay off him." she whispered but loud enough so I could hear.

"Know what" I said starting to get angry.

"Well basically we can't be together." she started. "it is because of Dan"

"WHAT is it do you like him now is that it? am I not good enough." I shouted.

"No no no its nothing like that basically Dan use to bully me so seeing him around just makes me feel left out." she said.

"So what we will leave him out I don't care."

"No Phil he is your best friend, and you can find someone much better than me." she mumbled.

"Whatever I'm gonna kill him." I said and ran off. That was the last of our conversation.

I started to run back to our apartment I couldn't confront Dan right away I needed to think everything through. If what Cassidy said was true then why wouldn't she of told me before or why wouldn't Dan of said anything.

That is why I'm not going to say anything yet. As knowing me ill say something stupid and ruin everything. What she said could be true but also I don't really believe that Dan could ever do such a thing especially without telling me.

I didn't want to speak to Dan when I got in so I just went to my room and slammed the door shut. I think Dan knew something was upset with me but because he is my best friend he knows not to disturb me when I'm either angry or upset.

This is why I don't believe what Cassidy said was true as he would have mentioned something about her before.

Either Dan wasn't actually planning on telling me or Cassidy is making up lies.

I trust Dan. But I am going to ask him about to see if he knows anything about Cassidy hopefully he tells me the truth and if she did lie we will have to find out why.
