Once we got to the hospital they got her into a gown and Meredith came in as I was calming her down.
"You go into labor during a super storm I did too so we never went over your birth plan."
"I don't have one I was worrying about Josh!"
"If everything goes fine you want a normal birth? And if shit hits the fan want a c section?"
She nodded holding my had tight. I looked over at the monitor I don't know why they have that up.
"Do you want the drugs?"
"No I don't want drugs I want ice chips please."
"She wants ice chips Josh."
"Are you gonna do this the whole time and take over for me please."
I let go of her hand going into the hall getting ice chips and she followed me. She looked at me with vacant eyes.
"Amy?"
"I love you...."
Then she fell onto the floor and I ran over to her and her face was flushed.
"I need some help over here now!"
They got her to the or to get the baby out and I was just standing there in shock. What if this baby killed her? Why does this keep happening to me?
Then Meredith came over and led me to a chair and gave me some water.
"She'll be alright Josh."
"She was pale and had vacant eyes...she won't make it I've seen it before."
I sipped the water and set it to the side looking out the window. Then they wheeled in the baby and it's a girl.
"Sir here's your baby girl."
"Where's my wife?"
"Still in surgery sir. Do you want to hold her?"
"Yes please."
She handed me the baby and she started fussing.
"Shhh it's alright we're alright."
I rocked her in my arms and she looked at me and she has Amy's eyes like a green with some blue tint. She also has my brown hair. Yeah I had brown hair. Then Amy came back and she was still out from the sedation. At least she's alright I hope. I fell asleep in the chair while the baby was in the crib and in the night the monitor went off and I woke up and she was coding.
"Fuck code blue!"
I pressed the button doing cpr and Meredith led me out of the room while they're trying to bring her back to life.
"Josh hold it together you don't get to break down. You have a kid that you need to take care of."
"I can't loose her mer alright I just lost my mother and now my wife!"
"You don't know that she will live even if she didn't even in death your love will  go on."
I looked into the room and saw a flat line and someone saying the time of death.
"She's dead."
Then Meredith hugged me and I broke down in her arms.
"Shh it's alright just let it out."
"Everyone is dead because of me! My mom and Amy I can't take care of a kid."
"You can raise your kid Josh at least give her a name."
"Veronica."
