An unexpected death

I woke up in the morning and I saw Amy making the hospital not so much like a hospital.

"Hey Amy what's going on? Have you been crying?"

She looked at me and nods.

"What happened? Is the baby alright?"

"The baby is alright...hormones are a bitch also you're going to be in here for a week. So I brought some of your stuff here."

I just laughed because I don't even know how hormones feel. As like magic Derek walked in the room to check on me.

"Hey Josh how are you feeling since you've been well resting?"

"I feel alright my head just hurts from that fall and did anyone record it?"

Amy pulled out her tablet and pulled up the video and all the fans go OUCH SORRY MAN. Eh I still love these trenchers. Watching the video just made me dizzy and I grabbed the basin just in case but nothing comes out.

"This isn't good you're dry heaving which isn't good for your body...I'll get some labs today and see what's going on with you alright? Page me if he gets worse Amy alright?"

I laid back down in the super stiff bed smiling at Amy.

"Did you...get an ultrasound yet?"

"Yeah I did I have a photo since you were on tour."

She pulled the photo of the ultrasound of the little baby inside her and sat next to me and showed me. I just smiled so much.

"It looks so cute I take it back for not getting treatment for my stupid disease I have something worth living for...."

I just thought of my future with this kid for the rest of my life with Amy and the guys. Then my phone rang but it was on the little roll table.

"Amy sweetie can you grab my phone for me please?"

She passed it to me and I picked up.

"Hey Mike why are you on Matt's phone?"

"Well uh he was trying to rush to your hospital that you got taken to and he got into an accident..."

My heart just felt like it was ripped to shreads and punched out of my chest.

"I-Is he alive?!"

"....No he suffered a brain death. They want to donate his organs."

I dropped my phone onto the bed and looked at Amy.

"Josh what happened?"

"M-Matt's dead he got into a car crash....he's brain dead."

"Oh no come here I know he was your best friend and I liked him as a friend too..."

I hugged her and just started crying. But I didn't know if I could even stop crying. How did he even get into the crash in the first place? What hospital is he at with Mike. He understood everything and everything I went through even in highschool when I was hooked on heroin and not coming to classes he was there. Now he needs me and I can't even walk. Then I heard someone walk into the room.

"Josh I was on his case...I can wheel you down to see him if you want?"

"You're the top neruo surgeon in the country how did he end up brain dead? Where were you when he came into that ER?!"

"I was with you because you hit your head on that metal barricade at the show! I got the page and I took him straight to the OR like with anyone that had a massive brain bleed but there was just too much swelling..."
