Once I finally got home with Matt he helped me out with Veronica and with getting my voice back hopefully.
"Let's try something easy okay?"
"I can try...One love without the scream."
"Alright try the first verse."
"I wake up tonight feeling paper thin and paper white. You say just come back to bed voice sounds strange but I soon forget. And your sad blue eyes like mine. Full of pity now..."
My voice was gone just like that. It's like everything is gone.
"You almost got to the chorus."
Yeah almost.
"Same time again next week?"
I nodded since I had no choice to get my voice back. When I got home Amy was sitting on the front step.
"Hey Josh."
I can't speak so I just wave. You can tell this is VERY PAINFUL TO ME!
"You can't speak can you?"
I shook my head looking at her and I unlocked the door wanting to say more than yes and no. I missed her so much. I let her in and I picked up Veronica smiling.
"She's so cute."
I nodded
"She still looks like the both of us."
She always did look like the both of us. And then Veronica started crying for her bottle. I walked to the kitchen and warmed up a bottle of milk up for her.
"So how did you survive parenthood without me?"
"Matt helped..."
At least my voice is slowly coming back so that's a good.
"Of course and may I move back in Josh?"
"Let me think about it. Look you left me for months alone and suffering and now you come back as a angel?! I got over you Amy I like Lights now."
"Well I can explain it to you while you feed her."
I shook my head and fed Vero while pacing around.
"You died in my arms...I can't just drop that because it took me a long time to recover from that."
I can never forget that ever.
"I know I died in your arms but that was from a stroke."
"You wreaked me! So give me some time to think!"
