After walking home to Hiroki's house, we begin to talk about our lives before we met.
"So got any siblings?" He asks.
"No... how about you?" I ask.
"I have one... Hideki.. he abandoned my family when he found out I had demonic powers. He was jealous and promised he'd get powers too.." Hiroki told me.
"Oh... I am sorry.." I whimper.
"Its fine.. I'll find him one day.." He smiles through the pain.
Just then we pass the beach. Theres a boy washed up on shore. Hiroki and I run over and flip the boy's body over so we can see his face, Hiroki backs away in fear.
"H-H-Hideki!?" He asks.
Hideki opens his eyes, full of sand.
"ARE YOU PSYCHIC OR SOMETHING, KATSUKO?!" Hiroki joked.
"I havent seen you in 4 years!!!" Hiroki exclaims.
"SPEAK PLEASE!!" Hiroki demands.
"What? Sorry I was napping.." Hideki says, getting up.
He controls water a cleans himselves with the waves.
"Much better.."
"You're alive?! I see you got your power.." Hiroki sighs with relief.
"I did..Now who's this?" Hideki asks.
"I am.. Katsuko.." I trail.
"Nice. Now... how have you been, Hiroki? Its been a while." Hideki asks.
"Ive been fine..Im just in awe that I see you. Where have you been?" Hiroki asks.
"Ive been living.. with people in the ocean. Thats all I can say, sorry.." Hideki states.
"Uh..okay?" Hiroki said.
They talked for a while, catching up to eachothers lives. Its so nice to see them living together again. Something's off about Hideki, though..
We walk home and Hideki comes with..
"Ergh.." Hideki coughed.
"You okay?" I ask.
"Yes just a cough.." Hideki says, itching his dry skin.
"Your skin.. its dry and peeling.." Hiroki states.
"Im fine!" Hideki insists.
He coughs again.
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"Yes!!" Hideki coughs.
"He isnt okay.." I whisper to Hiroki.
"Dont worry about it, hes a weirdo hahah." Hiroki whisper-laughs back.
