Chapter 21: The Voices

Katsuko's POV:

Hiroki went to bed long before I did.. I read up all night on krakens but he said he really needed sleep.

Apparently, there is a cure for this disease... Zexr. It is a mixture of different acids that once made contact with blood of a kraken, it will cure the kraken.

It was around 4am and I was tired beyond belief.. I crawled in bed and hugged Hiroki until I feel into sleep.

{That Morning}

I woke up to my cellphone alarm, my dad wanted me over around 10am, he wanted to catch up more with me or whatever. I promised Hiroki everything would be fine.

I begin to drive over, I see my dad peering through the window. I run out of the car and hug him. I cannot believe hes actually alive!

His friendly smile begins to turn wicked and sinister. Something isnt right... his smile reminds me of Hideki's before he... oh no...

"So... I heard about Hideki..." He says glaring at me.

"How do you know about that?!" I ask.

"He was a friend of mine.. Hiroki killed him." He snapped.

I pushed him to the ground.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" I growl.

He becomes a kraken and attacks...

Hiroki's POV:

I hear something...

"....Katsuko...needs you...right now...." I heard a voice but was alone.

The voices are around and tell me Katsuko needs me..

I jump in my car and speed down the high way.. OH GOD. Krakens are ahead.

Katsuko's POV:

I growled.

"ENOUGH!" I yell.

What to do... What to do.. I search the kitchen for potential weapons. I cannot let my dad know im a power creature. I come across the cabinet and in the back see...

Zexr...Why does my mom have Zexr?

Hiroki's POV:

I speed down the street as Krakens smash the concrete, attempting to total my car. I drive like a maniac trying to get to Katusko's parents's place.

Katsuko's POV:

"He wont be here.. The armies are already attacking.." My dad says in a soft evil tone.

He notices me pondering through the cabinet beneath the sink.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" He asks, before smacking the Zexr out of my hand with his tentacle.

I get up and run as fast as I can and push him to the ground and growl in his face.

Hiroki's POV:

Just then, I park my car out front and go into demon form and bust through their front door. I see Katsuko growling at a kraken.

Katsuko's POV:

"HIROKI HOW DID YOU KNOW TO COME HERE!?" I ask, in a joyful tone.

"Lets just say... intuition.." He chuckles.

"OH THATS HIROKI?! Hah! Hes a demon!" My dad finds out.

"He is.." I say.

"WHO ARE YOU! HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME AND KATSUKO?! AND WHERE IS HER FAMILY?!!" Hiroki demands an answer.

My dad just chuckled.

"Uh.. Thats my dad...My mom? She's at work.." I explain, being my dad didnt respond.

Just then Hiroki gulps. He then notices Zexr on the ground.

He stares at it.

Hiroki's POV:

The voices are speaking again..

"Zexr...heals...cut the skin...pour the liquid in..." They said.

Before even questioning, I take out my Magma Katana and cut open her dad's skin. I take the Zexr and pour it in the cut.

"AGH...!" He says, before passing out.

I grab Katsuko and step back..

"Whatd you do?!" Katsuko yelps.

"The Zexr, its healing him.." I say.

"...Oh." She says, in relief.

A few minutes later Katsuko's father gets up, in confusion, he asks what happened.

We explain.

Katsuko's POV:

"So you're telling me.. I was the leader of a bunch of krakens..? And Hiroki is also a power creature (demon)?" He asks.

"Yes..." I say.

"So is Katsuko, a werewolf." Hiroki adds in.

I jab his side, I wasnt planning on telling my dad.

My dad rubs his head in stress.

"...Really? But how can we stop these things?" He asks.

"We're not even sure where to start..we need a lot of help." I say.

"I-I'd be happy to!" He smiles.

We are finally forming a team.

I just wish we knew about Zexr before Hiroki killed Hideki..He's probably upset now.
