I walk into Hiroki's house, Hiroki is skimming through the deep web. I walked in and told him what I said.
"G-Good.." He murmured.
"...Now what?" I said.
"I honestly...have no idea where to begin.." Hiroki admitted.
"Hm..Hey where'd my dad go?" I asked.
"Your mom called him..something about the governor..on the news? I dont know, Ive been busy on here." He says.
"Wait..." I say, running over to the couch to review the news channel.
"Oh.." I say.
"A TEAM OF PEOPLE IN THE CITY OF NAO HAVE FORMED A PLAN TO END THE RACE OF SQUIDS ATTACKING THE AREA FOR THE PAST 17 YEARS! THEY'RE WORKING HARD TO HELP US!" A news reporter shouted in the city hall.
"THIS IS NOT GOOD!" Hiroki yells in stress.
"Wh-Why?" I ask.
"THE KRAKENS COULD SEE THAT AND FORM AN ATTACK!" He shouts.
I begin to grow fretful.
"...This was a bad idea.." Hiroki sighed.
"Not really.. its just the fact that publicity grew about this." I say.
"Because you told people." Hiroki argued.
"Because if I didnt 100s would be killed!" I yell.
"THEYRE GONNA BE KILLED ANYWAYS!" Hiroki growls.
"...Katsuko...This is a war that we cant win..." He says, quietly.
"Th-Thats not true." I stutter.
"..It is. I dont know.. We are basically setting up Nao for disaster...and death." He explains.
Hiroki looks back at the computer, a web page he was studying, it was telling about ZexEN.
"We may need to use...ZexEN." He stammers.
"ZexEN?" I ask.
"Its the lethal gas-based version of Zexr. It will not only cure a power-creature.. but it will kill it too. Since its gas based.....us just breathing....itd kill us, Katsuko.. But it may be our last hope for the people of Nao." Hiroki informs me.
There was a long pause; I was processing the information.
"S-so...I...We...We'd die?!" I choke on my words.
"Yes...." Hiroki sighs.
"We still have our whole lives to live!" I shout.
"I know, Katsuko. Im scared too, but if we care about..all of these innocent lives, and have an efficient way of ending every evil Kraken, this is our only hope!" He exclaims.
"F-Fine....I guess tomorrow we will tell the Governor..." I begin sobbing and hug Hiroki for a very
very
long time.
This is our last idea, our final frontier.
