Chapter 36: Back to Jedaro

Governor's POV:

I looked over Hideki's shoulder as he was fixing up the machine Katsuko broke that releases ZexEN.

"I hate them.." Hideki muttered.

"Why?" I asked.

"Its quite obvious, Lee." He snapped at me.

I look at the ground,

"But he is your brother.." I say softly.

He pauses in his tracks.

"How do you know that?" He growls.

I dont think I was supposed to say anything.

"Y-you told me.." I lie.

"I did not.." He says.

"Its not important!" I say.

"Tell me..." He demands, his eyes begin to sink in and turn black and his skin fades to blue.

I look beside me for a potential weapon, a metal tray. I throw it at him and run to my car. I drove like a maniac back to the town hall and then sprint into the building, I opened files on Katsuko's mother's phone number and  called shortly after.

Hideki's POV:

I am infuriated, how does he know?! No matter, he knows and thats all thats to it. I need to turn this city to ash and ruins. Today, I will stop at nothing to release the gas and after the mixture of Zexlixium (flower) and Jonutorlic acid to make this ZexEN, I will arrange the troops of krakens and the force to destroy each and every one of these buildings. Why? Because, as long those 3 are alive, theres a chance of them ending my race..

Katsuko's POV:

Hiroki, Saruko, My mom, and my dad were just about to leave to go to my Aunt's house in Jedaro, her name is Aunt Kiroshiko. She is very nice, but she seems very confused why its so urgent we come to her house..

"Ara, are you sure you dont want to come?" I ask.

"Positive. I have some unfinished business with the Krakens. I'll call if I need you." She smiles.

We both hug and then drive away.

I moved to Nao 7 months ago to have a new start, not be chased out. I hope this eventually blows over, as soon as we get news from Ara or the Governor that ZexEN amounts have gone away, we will be back.

Our drive will be approximately 2 or 3 hours. I cuddle with Hiroki in the back seat and nuzzle my head under his chin and we hold hands. I feel like crying a river.. Saruko looked out the window and he looked upset. My dad sped down the highway and was on edge. My mom tried to relax, but it seemed she was having a hard time. A few minutes later, we get a call from a number we've never seen before..

My mom answers it in confusion,

"Hello?" She asks.

"KATSUKO?!" The Governor yells.

"This is her mother, who is this?" She asks.

"LEE, THE GOVERNOR OF NAO!" He yells.

She puts him on speaker.

"O-Oh.. Whats the matter?" My mom asks.

"HIDEKI, THATS THE MATTER! HE IS READY TO DESTROY NAO, I HAVE NO WHERE TO GO!!" He cries.

My mom shutters.

"You can stay with us!" I yell.

"Really?!" He asks.

My mom gives me an annoyed look.

"S-sure..." She reluctantly agrees.

My dad then proceeded to give him the address and told him to meet us there.

"I hope Kiroshiko is alright with all of this.." My mom sighs once off the phone.

"She's gonna have to be.." I sigh back.

Once we finally get there, my Aunt hugs me and says,

"I missed you a lot, Katsuko!"

"I missed you too, Aunt Kiroshiko!" I said.

"Also, this is Hiroki and Saruko. They're my friends and they needed to come. Also, my friend Lee will be coming here too, just for a few days." I say.

"Oh...uh..I didnt realize we'd have so much company on such short notice, Katsuko. I'll try what I can, though." Aunt Kiroshiko smiled.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said, hugging her.

"Oh! A family across the street just moved in too. They have a daughter about your age, try befriending her. You're still a Jedaro child and you can show her around." My aunt suggested.

"Hah..okay." I giggle kind of in an unsure tone.

I run upstairs and unpack Hiroki and I's stuff. My mom and dad will be sleeping in the guest room, I will sleep in my old room, and Saruko and Lee will sleep on the 2 living room couches.

After unpacking, I go over to the neighbors house, as I told my aunt I would.

"H-hello?" A girl with black hair with dark purple streaks answered the door.

"Hi, Im Katsuko." I said.

"Oh..I am Arnia." She said.

"I see you're new here?" I stutter.

"I am, I am from America." She pointed out.

"Yeah, I can tell by the name." I chuckled.

"Oh you can? Nice. Well, it means 'Strong as an eagle.' Its kinda cool I guess. So, you a native around here?" She asks.

"I guess you could say that." I say as I scratch my head.

"Mhm." She said.

"So do you live with your mom? Or alone.." I ask.

"Nah.. I live with my dad and brother actually. Im planning on moving out soon though." She says.

"Well, it was nice meeting you." I say.

"Alright, well I am across the street if ya need me." She said.

I smile as she shuts the door.

That was slightly awkward.

It is so weird being in Jedaro again..

I walk back to my temporary home and see Lee has already set himself up.

Hideki's POV:

It is time to release the ZexEN, I am shocked no one has come for me. Heh.. I shouldnt be complaining. I pull the lever and the ZexEN should cover all of Nao..

The city will feel the wrath of my people..
