Chapter 25: Saruko

We walk up to town hall and see the Governor writing at his desk.

"*knock knock* Sir?" I ask.

"Yes Come in." He invites.

Hiroki and I walk slowly in, terrified beyond belief.

"Oh.. Its the drama starters." He rolls his eyes.

I clear my throat and look at Hiroki.

"We know how to end... this war with the Krakens.." He says, then handing him the printed article on how ZexEN will kill and how to make ZexEN.

"Z-ZexEN? This gas based chemical will kill them? Hm... then I will tell the local scientist of this issue and end this war once and for all. Soon, we will finally be at peace...Th-Thank you.." The Governor smiled. This is the first time ive ever seen this man smile.

"No pr-problem.." I stutter.

"Ye-Yeah...No problem." Hiroki also stutters.

We walk out the office and see a teenage boy run over.

"SARUKO!?" Hiroki yells.

"HIROKI! I havent seen you in ages!" Saruko points out.

"What were you doing in there?" Saruko asks.

"We were telling the Governor about ZexEN...to finally stop the Krakens." Hiroki explains.

"But dude! You're a power crea-..." He stops as he notices me.

"I MEAN..." Saruko reals back.

"No its okay...Im a power creature.." I explain.

"Heh...prove it!" Saruko orders.

"Alright." I say, bending down on all fours.

"NO! Katsuko, you dont have to prove anything." Hiroki warns.

"*smirk* Dude stop protecting her, its okay if shes a human." Saruko chuckles.

I begin to get angry. Saruko has kind of a smart-aloc personality.. I can alreay tell.

"Dude. Enough.She isnt a human, she is one of us." Hiroki glares.

"Heh..Whatever you say, bro." Saruko rolls his eyes.

I am livid.

I growl and go into wolf form.

Saruko's eyes widen.

Just then the Governor came outside with papers in his arms.

I get out if wolf form.

"SEE?!" I yell.

"K-Katsuko.." Hiroki stammers.

"Wh-What?" I then turn around and see the Governor, he just saw me get out of wolf form into human form.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" He asks.

I run. All the way home in wolf form.

Hiroki's POV:

I glare at Saruko and then slowly walk home in anger.

"HEY!" The Governor yells; I ignore.

Saruko begins to catch up.

"Bro..." He says.

"Dont even look at me." I growl.

"Look. I was just teasing.. I didnt know a human would come out of no where!" Saruko admits.

"You blew our cover, not to mention corrode your chances of being Katsuko's friend..we're..we're dating, man.." I exclaim.

His face turns pale.

"Seriously? Hiroki, I didnt mean to harm anything..or anyone." Saruko says.

We then see Katsuko, sitting on her parent's porch in tears.

"Whats the matter?" Saruko asks.

"What do you think?!" Katsuko's dad yells.

"The news is blowing up, THEY KNOW." Katsuko's mom explains.

There was a long pause.

Now that they have a way of ending all power creatures, you guys are... basically....going to die.." Katsuko's mom says.

"We already knew we were going to die, but, what bothers me is that the world knows before we die.." Katsuko adds in.

"YOU WHAT?!" Her dad yells.

"We actually...gave them the ingredients for ZexEN" She admits.

"WHY?!" Her mom asks.

"Because, we care about you guys. We know their next attack will be the deadliest. So they need to be gone before it." I jump in.

"We have to accept our fate.." I say, with passion.
