Dear Diary,

It's Valentine's Day again,
the day where the loners get reminded they will forever be alone.
Sitting in the sidelines, waiting.

I had an amazing friend, we treated each other like sisters.
But time and time again she crushed my heart, unintentionally.
And I sat in the sidelines like nothing was wrong.

Long ago I sorta liked this cute boy called Aries.
He was very cute, funny and reckless.
I treated him nicely and helped him a lot but he never noticed me.
My friend just went over and said hi to him and they talked on forever.
Aries fell for my friend instantly.
There I sat in the sidelines, cheering her on.

Later I liked Leo.
He was kind, caring and very loyal.
I talk to him a lot and we grew close together when my friend came.
She laughed at his jokes and treated Leo better than I could.
Leo loved my friend instantly.
There I sat in the sidelines, smiling at them.

Soon, I had a crush on Pisces.
He was funny, clever and cheerful.
He took my hand to the dance and we danced all night, enjoying every moment.
My friend came over and danced and flirted with Pisces.
Pisces left me, running after my friend.
There I sat in the sidelines, staring at them.

Recently I fell in love with Capricorn.
He was perfect. A perfect match for me.
We went on a date together, laughing and playing.
We nearly kissed each other when my friend came.
Capricorn ditched me and married my friend.
I watched them get married and raise kids together.
And here I am, sitting in the sidelines.....crying....
