A/N: Guys, I know that the previous chapter was a definition of a cliffhanger and I'm sorry that it took this long for me to post another one... that's why in apology, I made this one extra long for you my dear readers. I hope you enjoy this is and please don't forget to vote!
Bridgette: I saw everything. And there’s this hot feeling inside my chest that I am trying so hard now to suppress.
I can feel my hands shaking as I try to calm and compose myself while watching their exchange. I know that I shouldn’t make anything of it. Ralph was just simply thanking Reena for her concern. But still…the remembrance of the night they shared together, whether accident or not, angers me.
I understand that Reena was just taking care of him because he was sick but it looks like that paved the way for them to lessen their dislike towards each other.
I know that there’s nothing wrong with this. When I met Reena Brightnott for the first time, I liked her. She seems to be a nice young lady and I already thought of her as a friend—for the first time, I can see someone who can be a close friend that has the same age as mine.
I can forget everything and overlook anything and even this annoying feeling in my heart…but I can never forgive what I am seeing right now—the light in her eyes and the flush of her cheeks and the expression on her face while talking to Ralph—it is the look of someone in love or maybe a beginning of affection.
Falling for the person that already belongs to me is unforgivable, Reena Brightnott. That man in front of you is already mine. Even though you are still not aware of your feelings, I will never let the most important person in my life go. He has already given his heart to me and i will not give it to anybody else.
Reena: Bridgette is stunning as ever despite wearing casual clothes. Her most attractive features—her red hair and blue eyes are striking as ever but her eyes have an icy glint in them that somewhat makes me uncomfortable.
“Bridgette!” I call her, smiling. “What a pleasant surprise! What brings you here?”
She looks at me without answering but she slowly smiled…but I still feel different.
“Who was that?” she asks, looking at the direction where Edward walked away.
I suddenly feel the hotness rise to my cheeks again. Did she see that? Oh my, it’s so embarrassing. But I wasn’t doing anything wrong, right? He was just saying his gratitude, that’s all. There’s nothing more to it than that.
“Reena?” she says, pulling me away from my thoughts. “You’re blushing…”
“What? A-am I?” I stutter but she still has this cold expression in her eyes. “Y-you’ve g-got it completely wrong! He’s the vice-president of the Student Council and he’s been giving me a hard time l-lately…” But why am I explaining to her?
