Reena: At last! Finally they’re all done! I can’t believe I was able to study for all of my subjects which are very long and difficult.

We just had our last exam for this afternoon and I’m lying on my stomach on the grass by the lake with Alexia enjoying the breeze and the warm afternoon sun. Mariella is talking to our advisor about something related to class and she told us that she’ll just follow.

This is really a happy day for me. Everything’s done and my crutches are gone!

It has been a week of distractions for me and I was able to put Edward and Kyle out of my head for a while. But now since everything is over, I start to remember all my worries again.

I haven’t seen Edward yet. Vincent mentioned last time that he’ll return in time for the exams but I haven’t seen even his shadow. We were so busy we couldn’t even find spare time to drop by the SC office.

“Alexia, do you think Edward was able to take the exams?”

“Of course. Vincent mentioned it last time, right?”

I nod but I guess she knows what’s really in my mind. I’ll try to talk about something else.

“So when will the results of our exams come out?”

“It will be next week.” She answers. “We can relax for a while.”

I see. I sigh in relief. I don’t want to know how bad I did on my tests.

I look up at the blue sky. I feel at ease. Maybe it’s because Alexia and I are the only ones here. My friend is reading a novel by my side while I’m just looking at random things when I notice a guy walking not far from us.

He is just an ordinary student but he got my attention because of the pattern on the umbrella that he’s using is a cute brown bear. Yeah, it’s a typical kid’s umbrella. Was he dared by someone to use such a thing? By looking closely at this student…it’s not that bad—it actually suits him!

He is a few inches shorter than me, has wavy brown hair and a cute baby face. He looks like someone who is a bully magnet—you know someone that’s usually the target of pranksters. The type that wouldn’t tell a teacher or anyone because he has no choice. He fits my description.

He is walking alone under that umbrella towards the direction of the cafeteria. I follow him with my eyes until he disappears from my view.

“What a weird guy, huh?” Alexia comments beside me. “Someone’s going to make fun of him if he continues using that. He is already in high school…what is he thinking?”

“You’re right but it suits him fine, right?”

“You have a point but I still won’t be surprised if he’s holding crutches later on and with an arm sling.”

I laugh. “He looks kind and innocent. I hope nobody’s going to be mean to him.”

Alexia’s phone rings.

“Hello? Brother?”

That means the prince. I wonder what’s up.

“What? Then we have to go now…yes…I’m finishes with my exams…alright…”

Alexia swiftly closes her book and stands up.

“What’s wrong?”

‘I need to return to the palace. My brother and I are both going.”

“Did something happen?” I see worry clearly etched on Alexia’s face and she looks like she wants to cry. I reach out to squeeze her hand. “Alexia?”
