Edward: I’m glad he has finally returned. As I watched him getting out of the car, I quickly examined him then saw that he was still the same as before—healthy and in a good condition. He looks a little tired. I know that it’s because of the long journey in the car and because he had a lot of work to do when he was at home. But I’m really happy he has already returned to us here at the academy.

“Pres, it’s good to see you. How was your vacation? You are already late you know for the start of the new term.” Scott says.

“My vacation was busy as always. And I believe that being the president can make me be exempted from some of the rules…”

They all laugh.

“Come on. Let’s go to the office. The crowd is already getting big.” Anisse observes.

“It’s the pres’ fault for being so popular.” Scott teases

.

I spank him in the head.

“Ed…”

“But, Vince. He’s so easy-going all the time and we don’t know when he becomes serious. He also smiles at everything and everyone he sees even it’s not necessary. He’s crazy! Don’t you think that’s abnormal? We probably should consult a doctor.” I say and everyone burst into laughter. I see the crowd around us give us curious glances.

“That’s so mean, Vice pres! I’m just a happy person, right guys?”

They just laugh again. I sigh.

“We better get going.” I slightly place my hand on Vince’s elbow and guide him towards the elevators.

There are reactions of disappointment from the students watching us. I simply stare at them and they suddenly stiffen.

“All of you, you better get back to class.” Anisse says. The students immediately obey. I notice that Reena Brightnott is among the crowd watching us. I wonder what she is thinking right now about us.

The elevator is already waiting for us when we reach it. It is only us inside which made it more convenient. We reach the 5th floor in a minute and step out into the corridor and see a few students waiting for us. They are members of various clubs and the disciplinary committee.

“Welcome back, pres!” they chorus as we pass by. Vince just nods at their direction but do not speak anything else.

When we arrive in our office, we sit in the sitting room to relax for a while. I guide him to his seat then we all sat.

“It’s good to be home.” Scott comments.

Anisse pours us some tea.

This room has always been the home of the student council. We spend most of our time here than in our classrooms. By the way, some of the qualities a member of the student council has to posses are: should have a minimum grade average of 95% on all subjects including the combat training courses and exemplary leadership skills.

Earnest Polterain is our Class Representatives Head. Every class representative in the school reports and coordinates with him for any concerns and updates.

Scott Philanter is our Public Relations Officer. He is responsible for maintaining our good reputation and communicates with the other organizations and announces to the student body our activities. He is a people type of person and his personality suits his position perfectly.

Cecile Smithe, auditor, she records all our incomes and expenses and keeps the book of our account. She wants to become a bank manager someday. Getting a job today is hard so she strived to become a part of the student council to gain experience and an edge to others.
