His lips felt heavenly against my own, our mouths fused together perfectly in a dance I couldn't control, one I never wanted to end. I had never been kissed before, and without a doubt I had accepted the fact that no man wanted to kiss me and actually be with a woman like me with the way I looked. But as James had already proven I had been wrong about both of those things, as he apparently did want to be with me, and had in fact kissed me.
It was crazy, who knew my first kiss would be with no other than one of the most popular boy in my school, and he actually liked me for who I was. Correction how utterly insane was that? In all honesty I was on cloud nine, my thoughts had ran away in the chilly wind as his soft lips moved along with mine.
I was no longer focused on if I was a good kisser, that he'd stolen my first kiss, rather he wanted me or not, I didn't even care about my weight in that moment. I never wanted the moment to end, my eyes had drifted shut as soon as his lips met mine, seemingly at a will of their own. As his lips moved with mine it felt as if fire works had been set off within me, a heat settling deep in my stomach as little shocks of pleasure ran through me.
It was in this moment that I realize I could get drunk off this feeling and I absolutely loved it. James was with no doubt bad for me, but with the way he could string my body along I loved how good he made me feel. That was how bad I had it, and I realized no matter what I said, I wouldn't mind him going through the hassle of being with me if I could feel this way again.
I without a doubt loved it, the way his lips against mine made me feel, the way it made me feel wanted, how it almost felt like he was mine. I loved it all, too bad it wouldn't last for long, and maybe when we pulled apart he would say it was a mistake. That he didn't actually feel anyway about me, that I wasn't what he was looking for, that I was way too big of a girl to be with a boy well, ...like him.
I was just a nobody with weight problems, too many insecurities to count, and this was a one time thing, that would never happen again, no matter how much I would probably hope it could. The way my thoughts were heading caused me to pull away from the kiss, slowly opening my eyes as I furrowed my brow, trying to get a hold of my thoughts.
"Did you not like it? Did I do something wrong?" James was beside me, his expression one of worry as he waited desperately for me to respond. I didn't know what to say though, I never did and I felt like I never would.
How exactly do you explain to one of the most handsomest boys in your school that seemed to be genuinely interested in you, it wasn't his fault, but yours? The fact that you judged and criticized yourself everyday and you weren't confident enough to believe he actually did want to spend time with you.
