Emerson Diors didn't always like the Weasley Twins. Their pranks were unbearable. Their attitude left much to be desired. But after their first and second year, they taught Emerson how to...

One of the things that made Emerson so excited about not being the youngest at Hogwarts anymore was watching the reactions of first year student when they saw the holiday decorations that adorned the castle. It was Halloween, and the Great Hall was filled with large pumpkins, bigger than any of the students. The ceiling, as usual, was bewitched to look like the night sky and live bats flew high and low, frighten some of the younger younger students. The light lights were dramatically dimmed.
Emerson walked into the Great Hall that night side by side with Fred and George. She looked continued to look around her in awe, never getting used to the lengths the castle went to to be in the holiday spirit.
"I can't believe it's Halloween already," she said smiling. "It feels just like yesterday that we got iff of the train for the first time."
"It is exciting," George told her. "Even more exciting that our first Quidditch match is tomorrow! Will all of the practicing we've done there is no chance that we lose this game."
George's statement was no lie. Oliver had been working the team hard, day in night. From the first weekend of October to the last of the school year, there was never a time when the Gryffindor team was not practicing. Oven, the team could be found practicing from dawn until late in the afternoon.
While there were many times that the other members of the team protested such, Emerson didn't mind. She liked looking for an excuse to get out of bed early in the morning and stay out of the castle all day. And even if she didn't play, Emerson always felt welcome.
Even if she was coerced into it last year, Emerson had been quite excited to try out for the team. Coralie was thrilled about it of course, having had played Quidditch when she was a young witch at Hogwarts, she would have loved to see her daughter do the same. She was still very supportive of Emerson when she didn't make the position.
The Gryffindor table was adorned with green vines that weaved through the center of the table, twisting around pumpkins that were a million times smaller than the other ones around the hall. Emerson snd the twins took their seats next to Alicia, Angelina, and another third year, Lee Jordan. The tall boy with the dreadlocks immediately smacked his hand on the table, making everyone's head turn towards him.
"Guess who McGonagall letting commentate this year."
Emerson laughed, knowing what Lee was going to say. Lee had also tried out for the Quidditch team the previous year along with Fred and George, Angelina, Alicia, and Emerson. Like Emerson, Lee unfortunately didn't make the cut, but McGonagall knew of his ambitions to become a famous news caster so she allowed him to begin commentating.
"I don't know, Lee," Alicia chuckled at him and raised her eyebrows. "Who?"
