A loud yell made Emerson's eyes fly open, bringing her to sit up straight. It had only been nearly three hours since everyone began packing up their things and headed to bed, preparing to go home early in the morning.

Emerson stumbled out of bed, tripping over trunks and Bandit to find the light to their dorm room. Alicia and Angelina also made it out of bed, one of them falling flat on their face as they went towards the door. "What the bloody–"

A low rumble was heard from downstairs followed by a series of curse words. The three girls shared looks of confusion as they opened their door and went out towards the staircase. The other Gryffindor girls heard it too as they all emerged from their rooms in pajamas.

"Stupid, bloody enchanted staircase!" A voice yelled from the common room. Emerson pushed through the crowd of girls who were half asleep. At the bottom of the slide made specially for them, Fred and George were slipping off their socks to attempt to crawl up. Behind them, all of the Gryffindor boys were standing around in their own pajamas, looking extremely confused.

"Twins?"

The two redheads looked up at Emerson and let themselves slide back down to the floor right on their bums.

"She's alive!" Fred screamed as he scrambled to his feet and began jumping around maniacally.

"Ginny's okay! Harry and Ron saved her!" George joined in on jumping with his brother.

Behind them, Emerson saw Percy and Ron, who was covered in dust and dirt with a nasty cut on his forehead.

Emerson stayed frozen where she stood, staring from he twins, to Ron, to all of the boys standing behind them. She didn't know what to say.

Then the portrait door flew open and Professor McGonagall emerged. Once again she looked frazzled, but a massive smile spread across her face. Emerson felt something furry around her ankles, and looked down to see Bandit scurry over to McGonagall, who picked her up and held her in her arms.

"Attention students. Please head to the Great Hall for a late night feast. Letters have been sent to your families to inform them that Hogwarts will in fact, not be closing.

Cheers erupted throughout Gryffindor tower. All of the girls slid down into the common room where they all raced out into the corridor, almost trampling McGonagall in the process.

Before leaving, Emerson ran to the twins hugging them each. She was about to say she was so happy about Ginny returning but before she could, George grabbed her hand and pulled her along to the Great Hall.

When the feast began, the hall was full of chatter. Some were complaining about how Gryffindor only won the House Cup because of Harry Potter, others were celebrating that the petrified students were awake and walking about. When all of the student's were stuffed to the brim with food, Dumbledore stood. "Feel free to disperse amongst yourself or continue to eat! Roam the castle at your will!"
