CHAPTER 26
- Zeki's POV
I smugly smile to myself as Sap and Dese follow me on the Air Floats, too lazy to take the stairs, as we go to the study. I don't know what them two were up to before, I came in but it's about time. It was bound to happen considering, it is obvious to us all, they like each other and also the fact it was one of the first few future clips I had seen, when I had first met them both as kids. They took they sweet, sweet time, like fifteen years. Freaken' hell, we don't live forever.
"Right then, let's go find this kid." I cheer, trying to break the rather awkward silence behind me.
"Someone is feeling very keen tonight." Dese mumbles.
"Sooner we find the last kid, the sooner we can find out what the hell the Domi Society want with them." I defensively say. I want this mystery to be solved, what could the Society want with these three teenagers?
Sap steps from behind me and briskly walks to the rich brown desk, the surface is absent of the homepage of the CyberWorld because the electricity is still off.
"Where are the children?" Sap looks up, as the drawer clicks open.
"They're sleeping, oh don't worry I didn't have to use one of your plasters." I snipe.
"Aww you're a natural babysitter, maybe you should just quit working for the Domi Society." Dese smiles. She is perfectly aware of how much I despise, not being in the action and being tied down by responsibility, that's why I don't stay in more that one place for long. Or maybe it's the face I get bored easily, it's not my fault my brain so active.
"Right, here it is." Sap unrolls the scroll. He spreads it out on the desk, revealing its contents.
"Twice is the damage,
But one is only the cause.
Disaster follows them.
Parties adore them.
Wealth surrounds them.
Family is what makes them."
That's so obvious, where they are. Not. In fact it doesn't give a single word to indicate where we can find this rich kid.
"There's two of them? Twins?" Dese sharply says, eyebrows scrunched up glaring at the scroll, as if it will reply to her back. Hate to break it to honey, it's as inert, just like the idea of their whereabouts.
"But we only need one of them." Sap points out, calmly.
"Great, we have to separate twins, you do realize all hell is going to break loose, when we do this?" I mention whilst perching on the edge of the desk. These are going to be two people that have done everything together, they share a more of an intimate bond than normal siblings.
"Well, I don't know about you, but I don't want to have the responsibility of one more kid, than we need to." Dese says whilst slouching on the red couch in the corner of the room, legs propped on the small glass coffee table.
"Oh hey, you can use you're wordy/voicy mind thing to command them to forget about us or you can just tell them not to fight us because I don't want another repeat of Butter antics of sifting or you can brainwash them or something." I say enthusiastically, as I realize how useful Dese's new found skill is, ideas rippling through my mind. She could be the next super power.
"Or I could just Inflect you to stay here and babysit the children." She cuts me with a evil glint in her blue eyes.
No way is she going to leave me here, in this house, although it is safe sanctuary. I'm not going to be left behind. I give her hard look challenging her to try, Sap better back me up if this gets messy. Dese is such a she devil, freaken' evil she is and no one believes when I mention it. Not my fault is they get screwed over by Dese, but no-one wants to believe cool Zeki, here.
