Sap's POV

"It's a Power Machine." the cynical voice of Dr Drop wraps around my already woozy head. My clumsy feet lead me towards the machine, it is emitting its own power, sharing it with me as I approach closer.

"So it's a machine that takes powers?" Zeki asks skeptically.

"No, don't be ludicrous Zeki. It controls the powers." the scholar speaks in a patronizing tone to Zeki.
My guru seems to have developed an inferiority complex.

I'm not quite sure what has just occurred in this room as I wasn't fully conscious. The nausea and sickness are slowly ebbing away now, making me more aware of my surroundings.

"What are you talking about, our powers are controlled by the precipitation, which affects the electricity? So when the electricity turns on our powers go off." Dese snipes at Dr Drop.

"My dear Destiny, that's where you are wrong. You must keep up to date with current affairs and in general your knowledge but that never interested you then, I don't expect anything more from you now." he aloofly voices.

Everyone hates to judged and patronized, especially so publically. Anger spikes through me at his abuse towards my friends.

"Dese was above average in the academy, Dr Drop." I spit.

"So what does it do?" Zeki interrupts, with whatever the guru was going to say.

"It can control the powers of course." he gleefully states.

How is that possible? A phenomenal like this would have been common knowledge, we would have known about it, no matter if we keep up to date with our academics.

"How?" Dese fumbles.

"Whilst the Domi Society were conceded by their completely preposterous beliefs and fair rights malarkey, they shunned me, when I tried to explain to the stuck-up imbeciles, that we can gain more control of the Society, by making it more efficient. Therefore the ambitious academic I am, I decided to go ahead with my research and build this machine and would later display it to these self-deluded people, that it is possible to control the powers." He boasts with a hint of fury playing among his eyes as he reminisces of his expulsion.

"If this invention is so fantastic, how come it is not public knowledge?"I ask trying to get push my grogginess.

"A few loyal individuals do know about this but I am not that careless to advertise my achievements, I do want a rebellion on my hands nor competition either, if the citizens discover the main belief that has been drilled into them, since they were young be proved wrong, what do you think would happen? The whole point of building the machine was to have control of the powers therefore over our community and to be able to maintain it through centuries after. I don't want my job to be made even laborious than it is." the rogue doctor explains.

How is this man so delusional? It befuddles me how he could be so determined and dedicated to this completely made up job and mission of his. His job is to teach children of the Domi Society that we are equals, regardless of powers but what his actions complete defy this object. In fact it unnerves me that he has constructed this powerful machine and has kept it so quiet, secretly assassinating the Domi Society, probably one by one.

"How did you kill them?" I question, shamelessly intrigued at how he could possible have done this and doubtful that he has done it.

"Nobody think's an old doctor is dangerous, who has been at the academy for so many generation, trusted by hundreds. I knew everything about the Domi Society, seen all the documents, been through every concealed entrance and rooms, met with the Society themselves and their connections. Alas, they were so wrong, knowledge is the most powerful weapon
