Mysterious Onlooker’s P.O.V
“BOOM”
I watched in satisfaction from the safety of the car as the greenhouse blew up in shreds. Orange embers leaped from the wreckage and pieces of wood were hurled in random directions. The sound of the explosion was almost loud enough to cover up the petrified screams of the children and teachers.
Almost.
My smile spread across my face from underneath my black helmet. Yet a haunting sense nagged me,
“She isn’t dead you know. Her powers are still working,” I said quietly.
“Hush my sweet. This was simply a test of her ability. Soon, we will have what we want. Just you wait”
He turned to face me, the slow smile spreading over his dark features was almost contagious as i felt the corners of my mouth tilt up as well. We let out a menacing laugh before turning around and riding off into the inviting darkness.
“Just you wait”
***Author’s note: I still don’t feel satisfied with this chapter (Chapter 5+6). Maybe I skipped too many opportunities to add detail…I dunno. Sorry anyway though, I was having a sort-of writers block when I wrote this. On a brighter note (or…darker note…I dunno) Who do you think the ‘mysterious onlooker is?(I bet you can probably guess) And who or what do you think he’s talking to?
