Part 28
Mysterious onlooker’s P.O.V
I stared with disgust at the two, biting back the urge to attack them then and there. I had orders. Master wanted them alive. He wanted the kill all to himself.
I clenched and unclenched my fists, fighting the anger and bloodlust that threatened to consume me. I had a report to write. I don’t know why he assigned me to this task, as writing is a pain for me. I was not created to be intellectual. Yet, I was created to serve my master.
Taking out the parchment from my bag, I pulled out a pen and began to write in slow, uncertain letters that all seemed to tumble together:
Master, my grave apologies but my clay summoning has failed. The fallen one seems to have let his guard down slightly as he is caring for the Pernix. If you do not mind my curiosity, when will the plan be taking place? Even though the fallen one is weakening, the Pernix seems to be increasing in power. As your most humble and loyal servant, I suggest we act soon.
Folding the parchment once more, I scribbled master’s name on the front: D.Ruth.
Turning back to the pair, I scowled and spat at the floor before sinking into the shadows once more.
