When I get to my assigned room I find a seat at the back and camp out, head on desk, waiting for orders on what to do next. I'm starting to doze when a deep chuckle from my left makes me look up. It's mall guy.

"Not with your bodyguards anymore, huh?" His bad joke makes me turn my nose up at him, and I start to put my head back down. This guy is apparently not worth my time. I must have imagined the sad puppy dog eyes, or maybe they were just part of some trick to make me interested. It annoys me that it kind of worked.

"Wait, sorry, I was just kidding. Didn't mean to offend you, or your friends." He pleads hands in air. I raise my brows questioning and waiting, still not speaking.

He laughs softly, a little nervous. "Did you know you're kind of intimidating? I just wanted to come say hello and introduce myself properly, since we seem to keep catching eyes in crowds." He tells me and I feel slightly guilty for putting on a bit of my bitch. I haven't used her in a while; It must be the school vibe. "I'm Tony." He sticks his hand out at me and I give in at the formal gesture, shaking his hand.

"I'm May." I divulge him.

"Hello, May. Did you just move here?" He asks, getting right into the questions, as he sits at the desk next to mine.

"Yup." I place my head back down, but put it to the side so I can still look at Tony.

He nods, mouth pressed together to stop from laughing. I like playing with this guy for some reason. I can tell now that he is most definitely a player, and therefore won't think of wanting something serious, or get into emotional stuff. I've found a new friend right here.

We get our schedules and then have the rest of the hour to find our rooms or stay and chat.

Homeroom - 205

AP History - 111

AP English - 510

Self study

AP Maths - 206

Gym – Gymnasium 1

AP Physics - 309

AP Biology- 309

Tony leans over his desk to see what I've got.

"Someone's a smarty pants." He comments eyes wide.

I want to a private school back in New York, so honestly being placed in the AP classes does not surprise me. To respond to Tony I simply grin in his face. He rolls his eyes and places his sheet in front of me, showing me that we have AP maths and AP Physics together.

"Guess I'm not the only smarty pants." I mock back at him.

"I'm good at algebra sure. I have TWO AP's and I'm not sure how I'll manage with those. You, Miss, have FIVE. No way you can handle all that with out some serious brain juice going on." One eyebrow up as if expecting me to tell him the secrets of the universe.

"Blah." I answer.

"Yes. I see it now. Your intellect is practically leaking at the seams." Tony keeps his voice in monotone through the sentence. Funny guy.

I yank up my own schedule and stuff it in my bag, then pick that up and start for the door, wanting to find room 111. It shouldn't be too difficult, the first number is the floor and then the rest is a look on the doors until you find your destination type job.

"Wait up. I'm in room 115. Might as well walk together?" Tony says already standing, bad on shoulder.

We make our way to the stairs, which lead to our rooms, winding in and out of other teenagers. A guy knocks into me while he's trying to get to his friends and it makes be stumble back into Tony. He steady's me with his hand and wiggles his eyebrows at me, so I shake my head and continue forward.

Somehow we make it to the stairs and down to our floor. I get to my door and join the queue outside, expecting Tony to head to his own room but he stays by me typing on his phone. I see that by his room the girl from the mall is glaring at me. I don't think its warranted but at the same time it's the first day and I really don want to make any enemies if I can avoid it. I smile a kind smile back at her, trying to incorporate innocence and a nonthreatening vibe. It doesn't work. Her eyes heat up in furry and I pull my lip to the side biting on it.

I whack Tony's shoulder and he glares at me. "What?" He grunts.

"Your girlfriends eviling me. Go over there and make up so she leaves me alone, dumbass." I grumble back at him.

He looks to mall girl and moans in the back of his throat. "She's not my girlfriend. We hooked up one time at the beginning of the summer, when I was vulnerable and now she wont leave me alone." He pouts at me giving me his puppy dog eyes. "Help a guy out?" He leans closer.

I laugh in his face and shove it away. "Nuh uh. You deal with your own drama. I don't have any sympathy for you. She took advantage of you did she? Bet it wasn't all that awful." I push at his back directing him to the girl and he struggles half-heartedly and then saunters over.

I snort at them both, watching as the girl completely changes her tune the second he gets there, stroking at his arm and fluttering her eyelashes, lips puckered.

"So you know him now, huh?" Jace says from behind me, startling me. I spin around and don't realise quite how close he is, my face smooches into his chest, getting a mouth-melting waft of citrus honey. I move back so I can look up at him but see he's still watching the couple, which apparently aren't actually a couple.

"Are you in AP History with me?" I ask him, wanting to distract him from what everthat look in his eyes is all about.
