Normal POV

Sometimes in life you need a dose of clarity or a moment were everything seems so damn clear. That was what Killua felt when he sat in a plush chair next to his mother and sipped on his tea. She was relatively gushing with a girlish kind of joy, with a sort of ravishing clarity while she spoke of her schedule. Killua had a small permanent smile plastered on his face, not really registering the words his mother rambled on about. His mother had always been more obsessed with the idea of his becoming the future CEO.It was like she could finally understand her role in life, and that was to give birth to Killua. She had often said that to people who would care to listen. The moment Killua had said that he was not interested, his mother had had a nervous breakdown. And ever since Killua left, she's been calling everyone around her by her prodigal son's name. It was an obsession that was never fated to end. And now that he was back to indefinately stay, that made her jump  up with joy, running about not able to calm her nerves. Killua had not been freaked out with the obsession. He had just accepted it as a way of life since he was born. His mother was not the only person who fawned over him in the past years. It was nostalgic in a sense, sitting in this balcony and listening to his mothers stories, acting interested. "Mom?" he said, ceasing all chatter from her side. "Yes dear?" she answered with that tone of uncertainty and a little pleasure that he was actively taking part in the conversation. "When was the last time you took a vacation?" It seemed like a trivial question but to Killua it was a question that might open some doors. His mother looked thoughtful and then set down her tea, giving full attention to Killua, hoping to answer to the best of her ability. "Well Kill, your father is awfully busy these days as well as Illumi. Its been close to 5 years since we had taken a vacation" Killua mentally did the math. "What about the Zoaldick Villa? Dont you go there anymore?" The Zoaldick villa was a large villa located a few hours drive from here. His mother used to be a constant visitor there for she adored the beautiful rose garden that she had groomed herself in the back of the Villa. "I haven't been there for a long time Kill... I wonder how my roses are holding up"
"What about dad and Illumi?"
She took another sip of tea and appeared to be deep in thought while Killua looked at her expectantly. "Well... I have seen them go there sometimes... Why are you asking Kill?"
Killua smiled that flawless smile. "Nothing mom. You seemed tired and I wondered if you've ever had a vacation recently. Maybe we should all go to the Zoaldick Villa some time? Like a family" Kikyo had tears in her eyes while looking at her son. Killua had been finally understood and he was finally here to stay and become everything she hoped he would become. She was so overcome with happiness that she didn't even take in Illumi's peculiar appearance in the room. "What are you guys talking about?" He said with the most sophisticated smile. Killua turned and faced Illumi with a sweet innocent smile. "Hey Aniki. I was just telling mom how I miss going on a vacation. Maybe we should all go to the Zoaldick Villa?" Illumi's expressions didn't change one bit as he grabbed a chair and seated himself in it gracefully. "That would be a good idea. But the villa is not really available now. We're doing some renovations there"
"Renovation? Your dad didn't mention anything of the sort"
"Well we were to busy mom. Too much work"
"How about I go take a look then?" Killua said innocently his blue eyes challenging. "We already have people taking care of the progress there Kill. You don't need to go there"
Maybe he was imagining things, but Killua could feel a sense of dread settle in his heart as he heard those words.

Jienna's POV
I silently kept the phone down and a serene feeling spread throughout my chest, replacing pain with a sense of relief. I exited the room to find Gon frowning and Lynn looking extremely troubled. "What's wrong?" I asked with a worried glance.
"I think my dads involved in this deeper than we've thought"
"Gon, don't jump to conclusions. It could just be a coincidence"
"No Lynn. He's definitely hiding something"
"What is going on?" I asked again with an exasperated tone. Lynn sighed and wordlessly gave my a picture that had 3 small kids in it. When I flipped the picture I saw someone's small elegant handwriting saying I will always keep our promise and sorry. I looked up from the picture, wordlessly asking Lynn and Gon what the hell was going on. Gon started in an empty tone "That's Ging's handwriting. He's involved in this deeper than he's letting on. He's hiding something from us"
"Gon. Don't jump into conclusions. Ging would have told us if he knew anything"
"No. He's been going on business trips a lot lately. Everything is so damn suspicious. Even now he's conveniently disappeared somewhere!" Gon got up from the sofa his eyes filled with emotions I couldn't decipher. All I could think now was that Gon wasn't supposed to be that way. He was never meant to be the troubled one. He was meant to be the pillar, the glue that held them with his warmth and healed them. That was Gon. Sunshine and rainbows. Not anger and doubt. I looked at Lynn, and it was like I was looking at a mirror. Her eyes danced with surprise and panic. Both of us didn't know how to handle a situation like this. "Gon... There's no use getting angry over something like this-"
Before Lynn could finish the doorbell rang.
Gon stomped over to the door and threw it open as if knowing who was there on the other side. His fists clenched and eyes were downcast as soon as he saw the person behind the door. Ging's smile fell off of his face the moment he saw Gon's expression. He reached out to Gon but Gon pushed his hand away eyes still downcast. Lynn and I stood there wordlessly as Gon pushed past Ging and ran out the door. Lynn shot me a look and immediately ran after Gon, An empty look settling in Ging's eyes as he stared at the retreating backs of Lynn and Gon. I stayed rooted to my spot the look in Ging's eyes making my stomach sink. An unease. Ging wordlessly walked into the room, barely acknowledging my existence. He walked to the kitchen and took out a bottle of vodka and some glasses. He say there and drowned drink after drink and all I did was stare at him. I don't know what it was that caused that empty look. Gon running out of the house or something else. Not just his eyes. I could visibly see how tired he was, how forced his smile was. Just what is going on? Why is he so tired? Why does he look so empty? Why does Gon need to go through something like this? I didn't want him to lose his father again. "Ging-San.. What's wrong?" He looked at me as if he was looking at me for the first time, acknowledging the fact that I was standing in front of him. His eyes followed to the picture in my hands and he clenched the cup in his hand. His eyes danced with a vacant sadness and suffering that I couldn't understand. He turned away from me and stared at the wall, his face contorting as he threw his glass which smashed against the opposite wall. Glass shards scattered around the floor, shinning innocently from their point. I flinched and closed my eyes willing myself to swallow my tears and panic. His sobs echoed around in the room his forehead on the table. I walked close enough to hear the continuous mumbling. "Sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry" over. And over again. "Ging-San.. Please tell me what happened!!" I raised my voice a little demanding to be heard and given a proper answer.
