Your POV
Anakin walks in, looking disoriented and tired. His eyes are slightly sunken, but the second he sees me his face lights up a little bit.
"Good morning, y/n." He emphasized my name as he said it, making it stand out against the rest of the words. Weird.
Obi Wan nods, a welcome sign to Anakin, and then sits on the ground, legs crossed and back straight.
"Sit. Today we're learning about controlling the Force." With a sideways glance at Anakin, I sit, trying to copy the posture that Obi Wan was showing us. I knew today was about focus, not physical strength. But I wasn't sure how it worked. I'm terrified of making a fool of myself, by commanding the Force, and having no response from it. I can only hope that it's easier than it looks.
Obi Wan smiled at me. "The Force, as you know, is all around us. In everything we see, it's everything we are. By using it properly, it can preform tasks for you, both physically, and it can also alter others mentally. In a confrontation with someone of equal skill and power, this can be the tipping factor in a battle. Now, as you'll explore the Force, you will discover other ways of utilizing it. But, we are going to learn basic skills. Moving objects, persuasion, and a technique called Force Push. Y/n, which would you like to start with?"
I think about it for a moment. I was fascinated by the idea of Persuasion with the Force. The Force had been described as a sort of atmosphere, but it was intriguing to know that it could do so much more.
"Let's start with persuasion."
Anakin smiled kindly at me, and Obi Wan nodded. "Very well," he said, and he called out to the open doorway. A confused servant walked in.
"Y-y-yes, Master Kenobi?"
He waved her in. "Don't be afraid, dear lady. I simply need a mind untouched by Force powers. No harm shall come to you. It's simply a test for my Padawans."
Still shaking, but calmer than before, she nodded. Obi Wan then turned to me.
"Anakin already knows the power of Persuasion. So, this is a test for you. You must convince her to go back to her quarters and change her clothes. Be convincing. Imagine the Force is pouring through your words and penetrating her mind. You can do this, y/n."
A lump formed in my throat as I approached the servant lady. She was elderly, small and frail. But she had a kind face. Smiling, she gently bowed her head in my direction.
"Go to your quarters and change your clothes." It comes out weak sounding and unconvincing. She looks at me strangely.
"I can't- I'm required to wear my uniform."
Taking a deep breath, I do as Obi Wan says and imagine the power flowing through my words.
"You WILL go to your quarters and change your clothes." I said it with force and authority. Her eyes looked glazed, and in a disoriented voice she replied. "I will go to my quarters and change my clothes." She turned on her heel and left, leaving me to turn to Master Kenobi.
He was smiling at me. "Y/n, that was amazing!"
Even Anakin nodded his approval. It sent a warm feeling through me, knowing he was proud of my progress, even so slightly. Bowing my head, I looked at Obi Wan. "What next?"
...
The rest of the training went smoothly. I found that I had a feel for the Force, once I understood what it meant to channel it. It felt good, knowing that I had a talent for what my father did.
Wait. There are all the records here. Of every recorded event. I can find out what happened to him!
I can't believe I didn't realize this before. Hurrying to the Council, I approach Master Dorak humbly, bowing my head.
"Master.." I began, unsure of how to ask for the records. "I-I wish to see my father's records. If I may."
He looked at me, with a mix of sympathy and dread. "Y/n," he began softly, placing a gentle yet firm hand on my shoulder. "Are you sure you wish to see this?"
"I need to, Master. Please."
Sighing, he got up and led me through several chambers to a cluttered room, with shelves of paper and scrolls strewn everywhere. Walking to the farthest corner, he emerged with a large box. I watch his hands work through it, nimbly searching for what he needed to find. And after a few minutes, he pulled it out and handed it to me.
"I will leave you in peace." And without another word, he left, leaving me with my thoughts and the silence of the room.
I was nervous to read it, afraid of what I'd find. But I knew I had to.
So I began to read:
Atton (l/n): Jedi Knight
Note from Master Dorak:
He began his training with the Miraluka leader today. We all feel great pride knowing one of our own has taken on this difficult task. May the Force be with him.
--
We have received word that Darth Nihilus has been residing at the Sith Academy on Korriban. Atton has gone prematurely, without finishing his training. We sense bad things to come.
--
Atton (l/n), Jedi Knight, died in battle with Darth Nihilus. Upon being brought the remains of his body from several rogue students, nothing remained but his lightsaber. Nihilus took his Cross of Glory from defeating Darth Malak. It was his prized possession. We are mourning his loss, but we find comfort in knowing he is once again with the Force.

I felt this odd feeling, a feeling of anger, and hatred pouring in my gut.
Who is Nihilus?
And why did he kill my father?
